OK here it is.... just back from a ride in the 1028, Gen 1 light flickers at an idel...And gets brighter as you rev the motor... and sometimes it is not on at all. I just tightned the belt this morning. All wiring looks good and clean. Any suggestions??
I thought you were working on a m1008 the spare tire is mounted under the bed where the surburban has it's tank mounted, and on a m1009 it is on the inside. sorry for the confussion!
You can get a tank from a Suburban. If it is a big block it will have a 42 gal tank, and will mount up in where the spare tire is and move the tire to the right rear bed area. thats what I'm going to do.
You should not take Weapons to Canada...Bad Juju!! You will end up sending them home in the mail...Also travel is very slow at night on the yellowknife Hwy, many critters on the Hwy.
But if you are up for an adventure...Then by all means.."GO FOR IT"..Sounds like a blast to me!!!!
You can pick up some really tough ones from "Off Road Design". They build stuff for full size chevys only. They have some cast iron ones that are bullet & rock proof.!!!
If yo have a broken Motor Mount, it will be the one one the passenger side for deacceleration, and the drivers side for acceleration, you might take a look at your trans mount as well. It's a cheap fix!!
