I belive the out put shaft on the trans. is wrong, use the search function, I remember it was covered a few times when I did the 700r4 swap..
I think the spline count 33 for 400, 700r4, 28, 4l80, 30... some 208 have 28 spline what works on 700r4
Motors
One engine was from a short bus the turbo install more less wiped out the cam bearing ( the good wrench enginge)
the flat black motor was depot rebuild with mis match bearing installed on the same journal twice ( #3 & #4 piston .20 .10) and leaked around pass rear.

I swap in a couple of can engines, and found that most depot engines( march 2007) have issues I have 3 of which looks as if they where never installed. First one I swaped had good compression ect.. developed a wierd knock and a leak around the pass head. the 800 bucks IMHO was well spent...
Might I suggest the following before doing M998 swap. buy a reing kit, swap out the and bearing and install feldpro 6.5 gasketkit. also
You need to do a search hmmwv engine swap.. about the particulars..
I believe there has been some post concerning RR volt meter and the charging system. or try saturn surplus for a volt meter

I going to wake this thread up, I have d44 and 12bolt out of K20 burban. I believe 3.73. I put 700r4 in my 1009, and I am not please with it. I drive it 3 rd gear alot, and that heats up tranny.. I assume that it a direct bolt up and the stock drive shafts will not be an issue?
I have both kinds auto in 1009 which in my opinion worth less, now I have change out the rears to 3.73... A manual in 1028 is almost perfect with 4.56 with 33 inch tires mpg is around 16-14
Nattie I spoke with about what have are going to do with your about two years ago the axles are in the bed and tanner about 6.2 swap ect.... I am in texas riight now be home Oct 19 and on the 20th I start the axles.
no it draw out the fuel filter and the system lines there is bowl in ip pump it will run for about 3 to 5min before it dies also check the rubber connection and hose remeber the fuel system works off pump curve you could be sucking air at higher rpm you over power the leak maybe.. but sounds...

I did that very thing about two years ago worked well until swap out my old tried motor that the cam was smoked, for humvee take out with a high volume oil pump. well was well til I was climbing a pretty good grade at my house. the oil line came off the supply side fitting smoke...
