    I swap in a couple of can engines, and found that most depot engines( march 2007) have issues I have 3 of which looks as if they where never installed. First one I swaped had good compression ect.. developed a wierd knock and a leak around the pass head. the 800 bucks IMHO was well spent...

    corporate 12 bolt into an 85 1009 help

    I going to wake this thread up, I have d44 and 12bolt out of K20 burban. I believe 3.73. I put 700r4 in my 1009, and I am not please with it. I drive it 3 rd gear alot, and that heats up tranny.. I assume that it a direct bolt up and the stock drive shafts will not be an issue?

    I have both kinds auto in 1009 which in my opinion worth less, now I have change out the rears to 3.73... A manual in 1028 is almost perfect with 4.56 with 33 inch tires mpg is around 16-14

    yeah the IP pump will create enough suction to draw out of the tank at certain RPM .. hence the stall at idle
