fuel pump is first place I would check, if it is think about electric pump swap
second I would check the fuel line and the filter housing they leak and suck air
I have been reading about the 97 6.5 cooling system upgrade and wieghing the options and the benefits ect..
I happen to notice in my travels that some ppl in their race engines install cross over hose at the front and rear of the engine.. my question would 6.2 6.5 benefit from this sort of mod...

6.2 heads made after 1990 (humvee take out) are the same casting as 6.5 whether the internals are change ie cam lifter push rods., where same I don't know as of yet for the N/A motor the turbos run a different cam.

found my ansewer ... bigger piston in the pump equals more fuel ect turbo injectors and the bigger mil lines along with up grade to the fuel return lines
