Hey Ed good to hear from you. I've known Rob for many years now and I agree he's an encyclopedia. But I wasn't looking into CMP's- must be thinking of someone else?

For those of you who want to see something a little different, here's two models of the pre-CUCV 5/4s that Canada used. These are both 1976, gasoline 350 with the Chevrolet AWD transfer cases (Hi and Hi-Loc/ Low and Low-Loc). Front one is mine rear one is a friend of mine named Rob Love...

Been busy doing movie work in the special effects department, and also with my green machines again. Watch for this scene in the new thriller 'Break My Heart 1000 Times'

Meh our soil is attached and therefore we're all brothers and sisters here. Love the stories- great shots King ! That looks like a great place to play...definitely more scenic than my last camp in Saskatchewan for firearms/motorcade/vehicle takedown training.

"I hear that Christmas song....
"...Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Differentials tracking up the snow!
Yule tide MVs resting cold and alone,
while owners post to forums, OH!...."
love it hahahahahaha

We went from no snow to all of it in two days. Had some digging out to do in my yard! Stay frosty friends, merry Christmas

this is great! This post has it all... Crown Royal, red heads, and olive drab.
I'm just about to do the same to a USMC 1028 I recovered a few years ago. Finally just gave it a heart transplant and get it in the shop for re-assembly/painting. Love to see projects like this unfold. Keep it up...
Today I dreamt about mine.... need to apply for an EUC (as a Canadian) and I haven't done that for years. Here's to hoping it goes through! I'll likely end up buying one from a private seller who has a title. I will own one...just a matter of when! Cheers
I really appreciate the info Gents! I will definitely toss it in the air and check that. Need to do a rear wheel cylinder anyway. Happy St.Pattys day! (Also Regimental Day for the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry FYI. ..)
Front driveshafts have their own issues that can exhibit similar clunky takeoff? Obviously rear U joints and lots of Chevys have the reverse to drive clunk at the rear axle.
