The problem is, like others have posted, you want the t-case to be every so slightly moving to get it to smoothly go into 4lo. There shouldn't be any grinding or having to muscle it into gear. When you shift into 4lo, get rolling very slow (2-3mph), put the transmission in neutral and in a...
Hey guys, trying to do some research before purchasing and I can't find any info on this guy. My local walmart doesn't carry the kit that everyone is apparently purchasing but they do carry this kit. It's a Attwood marine fuel/water separator. Price was around $28. How will this work for a...
I apologize if you've already checked this but are you 100% certain that one of the needle bearings hasn't fallen into the cap and is keeping you from pressing it all the way on? I've had almost the exact same problem as you and sure enough, one of the needle bearings slid into the bottom of...
It's usually best to shift to Neutral and especially 4lo while very slowly moving. If you're at a dead stop then it's much more difficult to get into 4lo.
I've only seen one person truly offer help in this thread and I thanked him accordingly. When someone offers condescending advice after the fact, I'll reply to them accordingly as well.
Before driving 600 miles to pick up my M1009 and asking a total stranger to help me out, don't you think I would have done that?
It's a moot point anyway if you would have even read this thread completely.
Pretty much exactly what I'm doing. I already have the cheapo tow bar and magnetic lights. Trying to make that little adapter to go between the tie down bars and the tow bar. Bought a piece of 2"x2"x18" tow receiver stock to use to make the adapters. Just need that one measurement from the...
How far is the center of the hold for the pin from the bumper? I've noticed nobody reuses the stock pin hole in the receiver extension for the 1" pin, they drill it about half way between where the 5/8" pin hole is and the end of the extension piece.
I've never had a problem seating a bead with a York powered system. Haven't got to try it yet using the electric compressor but I'm guessing it's going to be a little harder.
Well, I'm not going to bore you with a bunch of Youtube videos. If you watch it on Youtube then it must be true!
The bag was new, in box, Not leaking, and not lifting. They are worthless and a gimmick.
You had a pretty good post going up until here. I've personally "tried" to use one of those things and they are worthless. The one we had was exhaust gas driven. It had a big tube that you put over your exhaust and that aired up the bag. We were on perfectly flat ground and had to change a...
I've had both an engine driven system using a York A/C compressor in my Jeep and an electric system using a 24V Viar in my Pinzgauer. The York is hands down the way to go. The Viar gets the job done but only just. Bumping up the idle on both systems really helps out but I could air up four...
I install on board air in almost all the vehicles that I plan on taking out where there are people few and far between. Either an engine driven system or electric system.
I actually had to use my electric system today on my Pinzgauer due to a flat. A tire plug and a few min's later it was...
