I'm down here in North Carolina, down, up......your perspective... but living here, and being out in rural country, I have plenty of opportunity for get togethers with the locals. We, they actually....drink light beer and an occasional brown or clear liquor or just soda and talk about putting up...
Boy don't you just think us Deuce guys wish and cuss every time we see these highly affordable and desireable wheels, and just know they wont fit the Deuce. Man if there was an afordable adapter plate/plates that would make the dream a reallity, the key word being "afordable" but, then they...
Have any of you members found a good looking and functioning light to use in conjunction with the flasher, mounted on a more "in your face" location so's that you dont just blither along with your flashers'a blinking for the last fiew blocks or miles? I have often enough made my turn and in...
Was there ever a scheme like this actually used, for say arctic or ??? I'v got to say I like it, and I don't, the don't being atributed to un-original, that is, yea it's original I'll guve you that, but I mean 'MV Original' I cant recall anything with the Blue colors unless it was some type of...
Yep, inside the can is a bolt that comes up and thtough the top lip, halfway up is a deal and a spring, thus the short filter, no its not occuping the entire canister
I think He's looking for one of you local Good'ol boys to jump in and put a tow bar and git'er done, ya think.... If you had a bar and I were closer, I'd jump in there but I'm 800 miles away = 1,600 miles drive to have fun
The thing you will find the most difficult is getting to the primary, under the generator. Loosen the generator, slide tward the block and then you can get a wrench on it. It is an akward filter to get at, helps to have small hands. The orher two on the drivers side front are easy to get to...
So you painted the MV , stennciled it and its looking way nice, something to be proud of. Well that calls for an occasional wash or rinse. If you have a Deuce it usually also entails sweeping out then hoseing out the bits of leaves and dirt and cigarette butts out of the bed, so you do, and...
Yep a can on the exhaust, wired so the wind wont get it, mabe something-or-other to cover the tires from the elements/sun and I know this will sound way out there but some sort of predator urine, something used in agriculture for keeping critters out of gardens or such to address the critters...
My experiance with not emptying fuel out of my weed-eater and chain-saw left me with non-functional units that would not run, no matter how much tinkering. Stale gas will 'make the diaphrams in the carb hard' thus you loose the flow and pumping affect in the carb. My neighbor conversly used...
DevilMan96 just above on the second site you posted, it takes you to OD IRON the supplier of MV parst etc. Do you recal if this 'universal' switch has the Military rubber type plugs, is it dirrect replacement bolt-on or is it civillion type terminals?
Unless you'v altered something placing the exhaust closet to the battery box, you have nothing at all to worry about. Mine was in Desert Storm during its life with the USMC, and there's absolutly zero evidence of any meltage, and my guess it got way desert HOT.
I'm a Vietnam Vet and many of you out there are too, some from Korea, the forgotten Vets in my opinion, deserving recognition too. As far as parades and all go, I have no problem with folks playing the part, dressing in a period uniform while their enjoying their MV, parade or casual week-end or...
