    Water in fuel.

I filled the truck a few days ago and must have got a load of water with it. I use power source additive in all my diesel trucks but there must be to much water for that to do the trick. Light is coming on when I turn corners. I did a search but can't find exactly where the petcock is to drain...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Drill a 1/8th hole in the end of the blower motor where the bearing is and oil it. The motor will last much longer. Works very well even if it's just temp.to get you through a storm without having to stop and change it.

    1009 block heater

My 1028 had one installed when I bought it. My glow plug system works perfect but I still plug it in when it dips below 30. I have 2 civi diesel wreckers that stay pluged in 24 / 7 cause they may need to go anytime time day or night. I do it more due to the fact that it is just easier on the...

I had 2 diesel Chevettes and 1 diesel Chevy Luv truck. My brother and I drove the Luv truck till it rotted so bad the frame broke behind the cab. Meet Mr Rusty

That takes me back. When I started out thats all we had. I have not seen a panel brazed on since I was a kid. Got our first mig welder in the early 80's. Good old brass welding is a lost art. Looks like your using a 0 or 00 torch tip. To bad I live so far away. I'd help you with those projects...

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) is more of a coating than paint. It won't come out as nice as CARC alkyd enamel paints that we buy now. Gillespie coatings is just good old enamel. Your mule looks great. I hope I get to see it. Funny where that head gasket took you. Brian G.
