I took the old ones to NAPA, they took it from there. Whatever they sold me worked fine. Part # on receipt is 265-1277, hope this helps.

If your vin number on your truck has the 3rd digit as a "B" then your truck started life as a M1031 which was a C&C, no bed, thus the "conversion" into a M1028a1. One of my M1028a2s has a "C" as the 3rd digit, so apparently there were M1028a1s that WEREN'T converted, yours and mine were though.

There is no actual pto to drive anything on the M1028a2 or M1028a1, its just that it has a NP205 transfer case and you COULD put a pto on it.

Just noticed today that it got a new engine in 2005, sticker still on a nice clean engine, part # 2815-01-278-5725. Just don't have time to play with this one yet . . .

Here is another point to ponder. I have 3 M1028a2s, 2 were converted from trucks with "B"s (M1031s) and one has the "C" as the 3rd digit in the serial number, which means it wasn't converted from a truck that was originally a cab & chassis. . So, I take it that not all M1028a1s were converted...

Sanding down my ex fire truck C&C 86 K30 dually diesel I found US ARMY CN 0265 FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY on the passenger door and the driver door has a M1009 data tag on the inside. Not a CUCV but was apparently right there with some.

He was asking 3250, Broomall, on Craigslist, right? Good deal whether it needs electrical work or not. Why are you selling it already?
