Anyone get an M101 out of Chambersburg today?

Yeah, prices were a bit unusual. Oros, you and I probably bid against each other, I was trying to get a few covered units but had a few other irons in the fire that limited my budget. It does look like covered M101's went for less than usual in this event, though. Barebones A3's went over $700.

Anyone get an M101 out of Chambersburg today?

I was high bidder on several today, only ended up with 1. Koolex pointed out to me last week the massive number that were on the block, I think 40... I wish this process went faster, I'd like to run out to Chambersburg tomorrow for recovery while I have a half work day. Anyone from Eastern...

    Is this the right cover?

3dAngus, looks like you got an A3, not an A2. It has A2 wheels on it, but that's an A3 axle.

Has anybody tried getting trailer registered in ME who does not live there?

I thought about going the Maine way for a trailer I just sold, but didn't flesh it out. Signing over a Maine transferable registration I got for $90 would have saved me the combined cost and time of an SF97 and re-titling it in PA. Mathematically, it works out if you stay with the Maine tag or...

Does the the 1990 m101a2 have a spare tire?

They're supposed to share a bolt pattern with their prime-mover, so it makes sense that they'd rely on the TV's spare.

When pictures don't match event and lot number

Well that answers any challenge I may make... I'm wondering now if the GL staff on site, would bring out the item with the event/lot sticker on it instead of the matching-serial item. I vaguely recall the staffers checking the serial on prior recovery's at one site, but not at another. They...

When pictures don't match event and lot number

Anyone know what happens when the event and lot number don't match the description? IE, there's a serial number and particular nomenclature listed in the description, but in the photos, there's a different nomenclature, different serial #, but the event and lot number are clearly matching that...

    m101a2 recovery

And they really will take 8 weeks... Very frustrating... I haven't had a 4-digit serial yet, but I've had none that fit the VIN format, so they could not be done online and I had to wait 8-weeks. Mine came back as the same serial, so I don't think they automatically issue a new VIN, just had...

    m101a2 recovery

It can be done... :) I haven't actually done it yet, but I've simulated it on the ground with actual units... Or, if you fold up the drawbar on 3 units, you can fit them sideways, with the last unit on the top. Might be difficult to center properly on an open center car hauler, though. Weight...

    M101A1 trailer at Nellis AFB

No good for my bro, I was surfing this from my phone and never looked up where it was. He's too far from it.

    M101A1 trailer at Nellis AFB

Not for me, my kid bro is active duty possibly nearby there. I'm waiting to hear back from him. If anyone else can take it, please go for it, I certainly don't have any dibs, and my brother may not be able to get there during pickup hours.

    M101A1 trailer at Nellis AFB

I just PM'd you, but forgot to ask the auction sale and lot number. Can you get a hold of that?

    M101A3 brake help

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but just wondering about this. I've picked up a few trailers that had breather or vent-caps instead of tubes. Anyone know why they used different vent styles, and which is superior? I can't figure out what the more recent style is, seems like trailer age...

    Making M101A2 street legal

I was just looking at your location thinking you're around the corner from me, but you're not... I almost lived in an apartment in Media about a year ago... Now I'm up on the border of Chester and Berks. Since I seem to have started selling/giving/trading these trailers a lot (I will stop when...

6 laptop-sized items from Lockbourne, OH to PA

I'm considering bidding on a lot of 6 items about the size of an average laptop case. GL says total lot weight is 200lbs, but I'm very skeptical of that. I'd be amazed if the lot weighed more than 40lbs. Also looking at a single 60lb item that's extremely fragile (so probably already broken)...

Woohoo... Won a M109A4 out of PA!

I'm a bit envious. I was watching those from the opening bid to the end. I almost took the duece plunge with one of them, but figured they'd go far outside my affordable zone, and they did... I have a pneumatic mast I would have installed in it. I probably would have turned it into a radio...

    Recovery Kit for M101

Well, I could fit 2 on a 16', so tucked together good, 4 would probably fit ok. I've seen pics on here of guys that hauled home 4 at a time. Switching to PM...

    Recovery Kit for M101

Where are you buying out of? I just googled Topton, you're not too far from me. I'd split 30' flat bed rental and fuel with you if you want to pick up multiple lots together... :D:D:-P For that compressor, is it a little 12v tire inflater, or air-tool support? I have a small gas-powered...

SF-97 for "Serial Number Unknown" M101A2

I picked the trailer up a while back, but just gave it to my brother in law yesterday, and we figured out he wants a title for it. I checked it over completely, it has no serial. The cargo box data plate has pretty much been completely smoothed out if a serial ever was there. The frame serial...
