    Deuce as daily driver?

RE: Re: RE: Deuce as daily driver? I'm going to be making the transition to DD. I'm selling all of my Power Wagon inventory including my W200 which has been my fall-back "crutch" vehicle. I was going to start driving the Deuce (bobbed) last winter but had fuel pump and fuel jelling problems and...

    IP Pump Calibration For Economy

OK ... I ran some full-load manifold pressure tests today. It's difficult to get the hang of doing the tests. For the main fuel adjustment test I throttled up to a steady 2,600 RPM in 1st gear then applied the brake to lower the RPM as best as possible to 2,400. As the engine wanted to loose...

    M37s and their trannys

RE: Re: RE: M37s and their trannys I think you'll find it's to slow the speed of the transmission in-put shaft.

    IP Pump Calibration For Economy

Jake 0147 wrote: OPCOM wrote: You may both be right. What I'm finding is regardless of how I try to light-foot the LDS engine I can't get over 9 MPG. With the LDT engine I could get 12MPG and I've heard stories of full fledged (non-bobbed) deuced getting over 12 MPG. The LDS has all kinds...

    IP Pump Calibration For Economy

The Rescources section of this website contains a Trouble Shooting Manual for the LDS-465-1 engine. It gives the proper full load manifold pressure specs for calibrating the main fuel and droop screw adjustments on the LDS-465-1. I couldn't find a manual for the LDT engines. I've got power that...

    Energy to move a deuce

I read somewhere that the average 100 HP engine is actually 300 HP. This is because while 100 HP is applied to the output shaft, 100 is lost in as a result of lost BTUs through the cooling system and another 100 lost via BTUs excaping via hot exhaust gases. With this in mind, a deuce parked...

So what is the true HP out of the LDT-465-1C?

So ... If I'm reading this right your Deuce requires three times more energy than your automobile?

    Manila Rope Filter For WMO

Thanks for the link jodka. After waiting another night for the rope drip to speed up I'm giving up. This system may be OK for cleaning up a few quarts of oil a year but not for the volume needed to burn waste oil in a deuce. It's just simply too slow. Back to the drawing board.

    Manila Rope Filter For WMO

Filtering WMO via manila rope was briefly mentioned in another SS post. Because it sounded like a fascinating concept I decided to give it a try. So far my results have been zero. I placed a container of used oil on my work bench and another container on the floor. I placed one end of a new...

    Twin Turbo Deuce

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Twin Turbo Deuce Rolling Eudamondia wrote: I'm running 395X85XR20s. They are a little smaller than 14:00s. I originally had 14:00s but I felt they took a lot of starch out of the original LDT engine. I'm sure the LDS engine would spin the 14:00 with no problem.

    Air in fuel?

I've experienced the same problem with the original engine (LDT) that was in my truck and then the LDS. After getting the engine started in the morning it would start fine for the rest of the day but let it sit over night and I'd have to crank and crank to the point that I started resorting to...

    Twin Turbo Deuce

Here are some pictures of my stainless steel dual exhaust system. It was purchased through Dan Stigletz stigy44@elknet.net --- Tel" 414-305-1670. I can't say that adding the duals increased power or effected fuel economy. The duals were added along with a new LDS engine therefore many things...

    1st BOB JOB!??

RE: 1st BOB JOB!?? Stage 2 I like the looks of the shortened deuce bed much better than the M105 bed. Given the multi (flex-fuel) factor these trucks are cheap to operate. Good job!

    Project deuce and a half..

Unless you've got access to the lifting equipment, tools and friends that will lend a hand you may be better off buying a truck that is already bobbed. M35s are great trucks but everything about them is heavy. Just my 2-cents worth. Good luck.
