I'm a real clutz when it comes to figuring out how to find the proper TM for a given problem.
Anyway, I'm ovbiously going to have to pay attention to the droop screw. I took my truck out for a spin today. After turning the main fuel setting (the double nut screw) down...

An hour later it was installed. Now when I park Rosie without having to run after her with a chock.

Thks for the clarification
I'lll check out the Trouble Shooting Guide. Hopefully it will also state what the droop screw actually does compared to the main fuel adjustment.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the input Floridianson however I'm still confused.
Are you saying the droop screw is behind the round cover (the one with two bolts holding it on) on the end of the pump? I don't see a hex plug in the picture.
Perhaps I'm dense but I'm puzzled as to how you can get two different...

Is the droop screw accessed by removing the back cover or is it the screw (bolt) that faces forward and has the two locking nuts?
The FDC on my LDS-1A is bypassed as was the FDC on my old LDT-D engine. Both engines are/were hard starters and like to go through a shuttering...

I occasionally hear a loud "CLUNK" when some moron that pulled out in front of me passes under the suspension.
Don't you hate it when that happens! It happened to me twice last week and both times I bumped my head on the top of the cab. Guess I need to start wearing me...

As forgetful as I am about releasing the parking brake I may need them.
I sometimes get more smoke out of the emergency brake than I do the stack.
Update
Soldier Number-One and I pulled the transmissions and opened it up.
Someone either failed to install the spacer (used to replace the spedo drive gear in civilian models) between the rear bearing and companion flange OR someone removed it after the transmission was assembled. Without...
Thanks for the input all.
I just purchased a set from Tactical Truck.
I hadn't paid much attention to my parking brake assembly. As long as it hold it's one of those things that doesn't get much attention.
Yesterday I heard a slight scraping noisethat sounded like it was coming from the...
The brake bands on my emergency brake are shot. Rivets are rubbing the drum.
If anyone has rebuilt their emergency brake recently I'd appreciate knowing if it's better to buy the lining (shoes) and install them yourself or buy the assembly?
Anybody got any on hand?
I recently installed a NOS late model transmission in my M37. Not long after installation, I experienced a problem while attempting to downshift on a steep hill on a rural road.
The first time the problem surfaced I noticed a small amount of smoke coming out of the top of the transmission...
Thanks all for the input.
I was hoping the circuit breaker was seperate from the light switch. Given that it's only 20 amp I can see why I have a problem.
The trailer brakes are already seperate from the lights so it looks like I need to segregate some load off the switch. I originally...
A few weeks ago we installed (wired) a trailer brake unit that allows me to pull my 18 foot McLander trailer behind the deuce. After contacting the tech support department of McLander and the manufacturer of the brake controller we arrived at a way to use a relay to run the electric trailer...
Just recently delivering approximately 14,000 pounds of misc M37 inventory that I sold to Midwest Military. Included was several transfer cases and transmissions, two winches, front and rear axle assemblies and lots of misc parts and canvas.
The LDS-1A an great @ 8MPG loaded @ between 2200...
Has anyone got any ideas about how to install defrosters in an M37 that doesn't involve the big bulky dash pane?.
I'd like to install an under dash heater and somehow plumb it to defrosters.
I've heard of people using a drilled pipe mounted below the window with holes positioned to blow air...
