mine came off a 93 3/4 ton county truck in a junk yard .. If you look the rear driver side of the motor, on the head inside the valley under the intake.. It mounted to the cap thingy on the head

I have done this recently, mine is up running. I am going though debug with the turbo & tranny swap at the moment. hardest thing to come by is the TV cable bracket that sits in the valley although ibelieve you can use a universal bracket by TCI

Dude it sound like ground,had somthing similar ck motor ground and body ground. fyi your alt sound ok I have been told the alt exciter dosn't engage til 750rpm, also your glow cycle til the engine reaches 70.. batteries crap in out sound like they are do to ground issue
It has been done...there are threads out there. I have 1009 I moved the batteries to the rear cargo bay and back feed the batteries though the radio bus bar. I also ran 8 ga wire from there to feed the 12v crap. I havn't had a chance to do it yet I am swaping out the bus feed from the front to...
RND- I have to get the exhaust on it following the turbo install. I havn't driven it more than couple hundred ft. since all swapin. My plan is to document and post my results. BTW the tranny was rebuilt for 6.2/6.5 no way to confirm other than to disassemble??

FL-9 I wasn't trying to sound snide, but there are alot things that have to be changed some known and some not so much.. but it has been done. Easiest way is to pull the motor out of the cucv and make the hmmwv motor look like it came out of cucv out of the residue
So I did a search, 700r4 mpg ect.. I noticed most were only getting about 19 to 22 mpg. no one mention locking up the converter. I am using a B&M lock up thingy Has anyone have any experince with these unit behind a 6.2 and what rpm\mph should it be set too ?
Hey but it 25 year old truck beyond it lifespan in five years the 6.5 diesel will go the way of dodo. I think sourceing part will be even harder thanit is now. not to mention the fuel the newer 6.5 burn... IMHO the only reason to a CCUCV was the economy of them, Cheap parts ect.. sames wierd to...
