    Gun Trucks of Iraq

I want to thank everyone for their posts and pictures. I am a Marine and I would like to build a Marine gun truck. As a Marine I can say that we are the red headed step kids of the military and we always get the left overs, but we kick ass with what we got. I am working with General Mcgregor...

Ibis Tek HID 66" Light Bar on my M813A1

I just finished putting on my 66" light bar on my M813. I ended up cutting the brackets down to bring the light closer to my hardtop. I can't see the light bar from inside the cab and I like it better. the kit is well designed and easy to install. I used rivet nuts to bolt the brackets to my...

    5 ton lockout hubs

thanks for the heads up, but my partner in this project works as a designer/engineer. We are going a total different direction. We don't think the convental (warn) style lock/unlock hubs can handle the loads these truck will put on them. Some large companies have made made locking hubs before...

I have found a few pictures of M809 series Gun Trucks painted "Sand" or "tan" I am not sure when or where they were used. The more 900 series 5 tons had more professional up armor, but there are pictures of them with lighter armor too. I am not building a replica so I am not concerned about...

Algae oil grown in continous photobioreactor.

I wish I knew if this would work on a large scale. I know where to get a endless supply of nitrogen rich water!

mounting 1600R20 tires on two piece rims

I used a gallon of half antifreeze and water to balance my tires. I seems to work good. I have gone 70 mph with the truck. Traditional balancing sand clumps up, clogs valve stems and will get stuck between the bead lock and rims. I think balancing beads would work well, but they are expensive...

Algae oil grown in continous photobioreactor.

I don't think Algae is the best way to get oil. Since it is gown in water, it is full of water. The cost and labor of separating the water will not be worth it. Why not just grow peanuts. Some of the first "diesel" engines were made to run on peanut oil not diesel. Diesel was just a cheap by...
