Tony,
Thanks for the paint help. I've read that article too. As far as I can tell, AJP WWII is the same as Rapcos WWII semi gloss. The AJP for some reason looks a little grayer or darker than the WWII semi gloss(i've done some paint samples with spray cans on my truck), but not by much...
Tony,
Not sure what's the problem. I inserted this pic of my m211 and it worked fine the first time. Maybe the file is too large? I'm not sure. If anything else you could always send it to my hotmail address.

Tony,
Did you get my email I sent to you with the address? Just in case, go to yahoo, and type in m135 fuel pump. Front line military vehicles website will be there. www.flmv.net Can't wait to see the pics from what you have painted so far. Hope this helps.
I would say your best bet is to get it from the local auto supply store. They should be able to match it and you won't need much of it to do the engine. That is what I think I'm going to do when the time comes.
Thanks for the paint help guys. The way it looks I will probably be painting my 1954 m211 Late WWII semi gloss from 2nd armor productions(same as RAPCO paint). AJP WWII looks exactly identical to Rapco's WWII semi gloss(only a hair lighter), so I think I will go with that since it's a lot...
Well after much paint sampling and color tests I still find that my 1954 deuce is darker than WWII semi-gloss, but lighter and not brown as 24087? My next question is, is my truck a USMC M211 or U.S. Army? How can you tell, the data place only says U.S. Property, but no mention to U.S. Army or...
Tony,
I got my fuel pump from front line military vehicles. I think it's in PA. I can't remember if they had a lot left or not, but I got it about 4 months ago. Give em a ring, they have a website also. Hey tony, would it be asking too much to maybe see a pic or two of you wheels and...
Tony,
I am an electrican so I think I can help you on this one. The capacitor serves as a filter in a DC circuit to filter out interference with the frequency that would affect the fuel pump. It also prevents voltage spikes that damage the pump. Look at your pump closely. Mine sat in old...
Thanks Tony,
I must have missed your last reply to me, sorry bout that. Do you also thin the primer when you apply it. Any chance I could see some pics of your trucks? Thanks again for the help, hope my first resto goes well.
Well I just got my gillespie primer from 2nd armor and got the painting itch. The only problem is i'm not an expert and I would really like to know how you guys out there do it. What do you use to thin the primer, how many coats, do you sand between coats? Any help in how you prep the surface...
Hey Lance,
How bout some pics of your bed after the POR-15? Would love to hear your tricks to body and metal work. I'm still wet behind the ears on that subject.
6Gears,
I would love to see some pics of your truck. Right now i'm working on my M211 and I have no idea where and what markings should be on it. It's a 1954, and I think i'm going to paint the old girl WWII semi gloss, it seems like the correct color from what I hear. What are you...
Awhile ago I was told that the M135 canvas for the bed is longer than the M211s? Does anybody know if that's true or not? I know the troop seats are different because of the wheel well on the M135, but do they take diff canvas, bows, uprights, etc? Thanks in advance.
I would definately bargan with this outfit. My first M135 I bought for $515 on a sealed bid, had badly rusted box and salt spreader, snow plow mount and rebuilt tranny in it. The next lowest bid was $180 so I overbid her a little. lol. My second I bought from the Forest service and I payed...
