    Dual Exhaust For Deuce

goldeneagle wrote: Thks. As far as price goes, I think there might have been some engineering time involved with my package. I've asked Dan Stigletz to work up some fresh numbers. When I spoke with him this morning he said they could offer the kit in either a straight pipe or muffler...

    Dual Exhaust For Deuce

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Much appreciated. The LDS installation with all the things that went with it ... Pre-Lube Pump system, By-Pass Filter, Oil Temp and (3) oil pressure gauges as well as the auxillary heater installation, dual stacks etc., etc., was a lot more work than I...

    Dual Exhaust For Deuce

After posting a couple of pictures of my dual exhaust system on another thread a SS menber sent me a PM requesting more pictures with explanition. For some reason I can't get pictures to attach to PMs therefore to keep from completely hijacking the previous thread I'm starting this new/clean...

    Deuce fan belt life

I've switched to Car Quest's "Green" belts. I don't have the numbers on hand but CQ can cross reference from the original numbes. I switched on the advise of a friend that owns a logging company. They hold up a lot longer, especially in cold weather. IMHO buying cheap belts is like buying...

    J pipe

I bought a complete SS exhaust system through Dan Stigletz Tel: 414 305 1670, email: stigy44@elknet.net. Dan reps a large company out east that builds this stuff. I bought the original package because I wanted a muffler to quiet things down a bit --- which it did. When I installed the LDS...

    Fuel Tank Pump

Upon returning home after spending three weeks in Georgia I decided to build a fire in Rosie (see attached picture). Within three hours of plugging in two block heaters, two oil pan heaters, the battery heaters and the trickle charger AND with the help of one shot of "Motion Lotion" (ether) I...

    STEEL SOLDIERS BUMPER STICKERS!!

From a marketing "spreading the word" concept, the SS URL "www.SteelSoldiers.com" needs to be promoted. Having said this --- a tag line behind the URL "or" a series of tag lines behind the URL is/are in order. From a personal standpoint I'm not sure I like the "What Can Green Do For You" tag...

M37 from Illinois to Orange, Ca

Call Quality Transport @ 763-786-2866 --- ask for Faith. When I've used them I tell them what I'm willing to pay. They will put the job (haul) up on the board and if it's a fair price an owner-operator will pick it up. Good luck.

Run gasoline or diesel in a multifuel

From a personal opinion standpoint I don't think I would run gas in a deuce unless I was also running some used oil or something to protect the IP. On another note --- not to hijack the thread but I'm looking into purchasing pork fat from a local renderer. Yellow grease is currently going for...

    LDS-465-1A Exhaust Gas Temp Concerns

Thanks joec. I'm running Rotell T 15-40 but plan to change over to synthetic after break-in. I also think changing to synthetic in the differentials and gear boxes would probably pay for itself in this cold climate. Considering how cold it's been, I was surprised when I got 10 MPG on the first...

    LDS-465-1A Exhaust Gas Temp Concerns

No --- but --- when we first started it up I ran it at 1,500 RPM for a little over 30 minutes. I'm also modulating the RPMs between 1,500 & 2,500 RPM. I make a point to run it up to 2,500 in 3rd and let it decelerate down to 1,500 several times after it's warmed up. I Hope this it the right...

Deuce Front End Alignment --- With Radials

Since I don't have stock tires on my truck I doubt if there is a TM that covers this question. Concerning tow-in. When running radials on a deuce should there be any tow-in or should it be at zero (no tow-in)?
