You can buy a radiator cover off ebay from C&C equipment for $35. It helps quite a bit in this regard I've found. The thermostat might not be too happy on your truck either and could be partially stuck open.

The 5-ton gets around 6 MPG, the Deuce around 10 MPG. If you have a source of waste motor oil, the Deuce multifuel is nice, as it can run on all kinds of things.

Wow, those are just sitting there in an abandon factory. Surely someone could make an offer on those and get them to market. There must be at least a 100 of the things.
