    Gov. Liq. question

I've had pretty good, luck, so far 3 trucks, and two trailers, and pile of other surplused gear. (welders, compressors, rucksacks, frames, etc.) I've been lucky I think so far, EUC go rather quickly, and the trucks have all been decent, except for the one missing the rear driveshaft. It's...

m1008 gone to the great mt yard in the sky

Pauld, Sorry to hear about your M1008, it's a shame to be sure. Beautiful part of the country your in out there. My wife and I spent a week at Culzean on the coast two years ago, and roam about rural southern Scotland in our rental car. Drove nearly 1000 miles that week, but it wasn't nearly...

    pressurewasher sandblaster attachment

I did sections of my M814 using one, 2.6GPM, 2600PSI. It worked quite well I would say, got to keep that sand dry and flowing. I wore through one oriface eventually. It takes it down o metal quite easily. I believe the mask issue isn't brought up because of the water. The process leave no...

    Road Trip

I thought there was some reason you couldn't mount the tires like that on the hubs, or weren't suppose to. I've always seen singled out trucks without the hubs flipped oriented facing in.

Who has the Highest Mileage Deuce?

I've put nearly 6k miles on my M109 in about a year. We drive it camping pretty often, typical 300 miles out to where we go and then back. I do have to say that the most defect ridden device on these trucks seems to be the tachs and the speedos, any one have any ideas why they are constantly...

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

I would agree, the plate on my Reo has been stamped an restamped so many times it's practically illegible. I had to help the DMV lady during the inspection read the plate off.

    Any Ft. Knox recoveries?

I've got on to pickup on Thursday at Boone in Frankfort. Talked to someone on site today, sounds like it will be fun, as all the trucks are parked bumper to bumper, which means some might need to be moved to get one out, yada yada yada. Oh well, should be fun!

    War museum show with pics

That's a sweet looking M814. Bkubu, you don't happen to have any more extra tall cargo covers like that do you? I've got the short one on mine right now, and it seems somewhat cramped in there. PM with details if you do.

    Hauling wood again! 15,000lbs

Stretch, Where did you get the wood? I could use some of that at that rate for the winter. The 814 should be able to take all that in the bed I would think.

Any TX legal issues with lift blocks on...

Spring Wrap, or Axle Wrap as I've always heard it called, is when the axle changes it's angle of attack if you will when view from the driveshaft viewpoint. The axle angles down or perhaps up because of the soft over the axle springs, and the driveshaft may or may not be able to handle this...

    white star after WWII

Is the hood star just centered in the hood in both directions? I have the nice camo painting and marking guide, but does anyone have the guide on say early Vietnam, non-camo marking?

    white star after WWII

How big is the star on the door supposed to be, and how do you guys go about painting them on? For most lettering, I simply print what I want on 11x17 sheets, and cut it out to make stencils for letters and numbers, but the stars size will kill that method.
