where can i get a 5 ton crew cab?

CC, Did you get the other 814s out of Drexel last week? I bought one of the earlier ones, recovery is tomorrow, and although I lack the skills that you have, I think I might be able to learn, and a crew cab variant, with an 813 bed may very well be in mine's future. Your Deuce turned out so...

    Equipment for my new Deuce

Question about the Budd's socket, mine seems to have grown legs, and I need to buy another one. Where's the best place to buy one? My last one was with my M109 in the the tool box.

    Strange looking critter

Bizzare, a Unimog that's been turned into something else. Sure is wild looking, and I believe it went without and EUC.

You paid what for a deuce

It location driven it seems. I just saw a M105 trailer go for over $400 in MO. It was the only one, and you had mulitiple bidders on it driving the price, whereas the M105s at Drexel went for their opening bids.

    My first Deuce.

Frodo is correct, I believe the GL guy meant from the PIF invoice, many people wait two months for that for their EUC to clear! Your's is going to be a pretty long drive, Ft. Riley is a haul. You may want to consider having it shipped, the cost often isn't too bad.

    Whistlin' Dixie is Home....Recovery Report

Nice looking truck, looks like 9.00s to me in the pictures, so I'm guessing the wrong adapter as well! Glad the recovery went well.

    Drivetrain Operating Temperatures

I was checking my fluids in the tranny, transfer case, and axles. Everything was where it belonged and looked good. I have to say that working under a truck that you can sit up underneath of is awesome.

    Complete Noob... would like advice.

That's right, any time we want to.... The TM's are a great resource. Download the -10s and -20s and be prepared to spend some quality time getting to know the machine you hope to own.

    Pickup of first 5-ton

Thanks Chevy! Anyone else headed to Drexel next Wednesday? A convoy back to Ohio would be nice!

    Complete Noob... would like advice.

Clinto nailed it, this is pretty much where I started, and they both served me well. This site is 2nd to none when it comes to tech information and resources. As mentioned before, if you buy one, you will likely buy another, and then a few trailers, etc. etc. The deals are just too good, the...

    Pickup of first 5-ton

So my trip for next week is delayed, still going to SF, leaving early the morning of the 16th, returning on a redeye on the 17th/18th, which pretty much sucks, but on a positive note, this leaves the 15th open for picking up the 5 ton. I think I've got all my fluids gathered and...

Got a few problems. Please help.

The VIN number on my truck is simply stamped on the ID plate by the glove box, and it was stamped poorly at that.

    Pickup of first 5-ton

Well, I talked to Dave who covers Drexel Gardens this morning, apparently I was one of the first for approval, so he doesn't want to make a trip up for just one pickup, so they are going to wait until next Wednesday to allow for load outs. Unfortunately I'm in California it looks like next...
