    M103A3 Question

If you got another 5 ton would you get rid of your deuce or keep it? I hear you on the 55 mph road trip. I drove my deuce home ~500 miles and it was a long trip.

    M103A3 Question

My first Cat was a 30s vintage 22 and then I had a 50s vintage D2. I have owned my D4 for 16 years and it a sweet machine. Not too small and not too big. Did you have you 818 tranported from Colorado or did you drive it home?

    M103A3 Question

A few months back there were several M818 on the GL in Oregon and they were runners going for $1800 - $3000. I wish I would have been more serious about a 5 ton back then. aua:doh: They would make a great rig for pulling your D4 around. :-D

    M103A3 Question

bulldog - Thanks for the info on UPS. BTW - I am in the same boat in regards to a 5 ton. I find myself checking the GL looking for any 5 tons in my area, but so far the OD gods have not come through. If I could find a 5 ton tractor, I would put a deuce bed on it.

    deuce starting problems

The M35A2 is from pre-clutch saftey switch era, which is one of the reasons I own one. Gotta love the simplicity of the deuce.

    Door Hinge pins

I hope your hinge pins came out easier than mine did. Even after soaking them in PB-Blaster then removing the hinge from the truck, putting them in a vice and applying heat and a 3lb doublejack I could not get them to budge. I ended up buying new hinges from SS.

    Deuce lockout hubs

It took all of 30 minutes to install the front locking hubs on my M35A2, so I would have to say it is bolt and go.

See my 2cents below in red. - GL - 1 oil is for diffs correct? I've asked at Tractor Supply, and they look at me like I'm nuts. What else do I look for on labels. I was just there this afternoon looking again and didn't find anything. You can use GL-1 or GL-5 MT1. MT1 means it is safe for...
