I see them for sale and they may be a good option for replacing the 11.00 x 20s on my 813 but I'd like to see a picture of a dualled truck with the 12s.
Spicer probably has a different oil spec'd out than what the military used. I hear if you use that it shifts easier, but I haven't taken the time to find out what it should be. Make sure not to confuse 50W drivetrain oil with 50W engine oil. The drivetrain oils have an anti-foaming agent in...
I bought a winterization kit (personnel heater) from them (that's my only experience with them) and they seem as legit as any other business. Spoke with them on the phone and they were a pleasure to do business with.
I need to know how far the hub flange at the wheel mounting surface sticks out from the front face of the drum itself. does anyone happen to have a wheel off of their truck that could take a measurement?
Just for reference here is an excerpt from the Jacobs 25B installation instructions concerning the use of only 2 jake heads. I'm thinking I will roll the dice and mount 3-4 and 5-6 jake heads since that is the easier option for my M813.
Is the TM talking about end play (fore and aft) or about runout (up and down or side-to-side). Both can be considered "play" but both are in different directions and possibly impacted by different components...
Will, these are the aspects that I was trying to recollect from an older post of yours - thanks for responding! For the record I currently do not have a turbo exhaust manifold or a turbo so I do have the flexibility to choose the correct combo. I plan on adding 25B jakes.
Adding slots would make it more flexible but also less secure. What I see when I look at the yellow/red overlap is that any material added to try and grab a 2.5 ton lug bolt (the red inside of the yellow) would prevent the tool from sliding over the 5 ton hub.
I would love to get it to fit into a flat rate box. Currently I would have to cut it into pieces for that to work which could be done. Right now it's 22 3/4" tall and 8 5/8" wide. A modular one would be cool where one could change out the rings to fit 2.5 or 5 ton if there is no room to have...
Good to hear!
Just some helpful tips on using this tool:
The foot goes under the brake drum and you'll find 4 of the 10 holes with a heavy chamfer for engaging with the lug nuts to hold it together (you won't need all 10). On a rear axle you'll want to have the axle shaft bolts removed before...
The first 3 HubHelpers have sold and I currently only have 1 left from this first production run. It looks like I won't have any more available until April.
Steve Saleen did some testing on his S197 mustang ram air hood scoop and they found at 70 mph you see 0.25 psi of boost. For a gas engine each pound of boost is worth 16 HP I think so that's ends up being 4 extra hp - not much.
Not sure if it's true but some big cam guys on the commercial side...
I installed a new M816 flood light switch and data plate on my M813 for future off-road lights or light bar.
I went at it from the passenger side trying to pop the knockout out and I got stuck in my cab. I couldn't move forward or backward, had the tranny shifter up my jacket, the t-case...
I'm to study up on jake brakes and turbos for the small cam NHC 250 and I have 2 questions bundled together here, but i think they're related.
1. What are the differences between the jacobs 25A & 25B compression brake? What I've read so far suggests the 25A is iron? and the 25B has an...
