Will a humvee key switch work in a M-series truck?

The install in the picture in my first post seems incorrect. Shouldn't there be 1 jam nut behind the dash and 1 jam nut on the outside? They have 2 jam nuts stacked up and it would look stock if they only had an internal tooth lock washer and a single jam nut on the outside painted green

Will a humvee key switch work in a M-series truck?

Yes, $89 and that disguised key goes one step beyond the other key switches I've seen from others like T.M.G. I think their listing name is federal-military-parts Item# 152934722002

Will a humvee key switch work in a M-series truck?

With key disguised it would be easier to maintain the charm you talk about and still be able to add some protection. I might pull the trigger on this in the spring - we'll see. I go back and forth and maybe a hidden ignition interrupt key behind the dash is better. Here's where I found it...

Will a humvee key switch work in a M-series truck?

    M813 Wake Up Thread

I got an M813A1 back in January and I started out at the exact same point you are at now and it has been a lot of fun working on the truck. I fixed little things and freshened up some worn components. The biggest problem mine had was leaky wheel cylinders and I have gone through 4 of the 6 so...

    M939 A2 just stopped

FWIW...My 813 had 2" of fuel in the tank when I went up a steep hill and the pickup tube pulled in some air. 2" is about 10 gallons in my tank and you definitely need more than that to keep the pickup tube submerged.
