    Garwood winch

Let me see what I can wipe up. You are basically sandwiching the cable between two boards. I have seen this on older winches. I would imagine Hardwoods work best and last the longest. I need to make one for my winch anyways.

    Painting bolts

Just clean them up good, put the part back on and paint them in place. That is what the military did. I put anti-seize goop on all my bolts too. If you want the bolt to be a different color? sandblast them and blacken them. It is a acid etch/anodizing solution for guns and hardware.

    Wow! What a truck!

Hey Dikwks check out the Alt fuel section on this site. If you are going to store a bunch of WMO I recommend that you get metal shipping container to store the oil in. I would weld and seal a 6 inch lip across the doors, just in case something lets go. I am sure you will not watch your filter...

    5 Ton Tools?

I bought a gear reduction lug wrench. It will take or brake any nut off. It took off my lug nuts off, that a 1" impact won't move. Just be careful that you are going the right direction with the lug nuts. I spray all hardware with PB Blaster before I try to loosen anything, put anti seize goop...

    Snow plow setup

I have looked into adding a plow to my five ton. I think you are going to find that a 10 ft wide plow is going to be a little narrow for a five ton. It is fine if you are plowing with the blade straight and in a straight line, but I don't think you will be able to angle it much without your...
