I have to take the son's side here. Was he told not to go offroading? Did he know the batteries were not secured? And, he was using it for it's intended purpose.
There are a number of ways. Search for Deuce Security in the search box. One of the easiaest ways is to put a locking switch inline with the battery cable. Most deuces have a chain that's welded to the driver's seat to wrap around the steering wheel. I also installed locking door handles on the cab.
One knuckle or all the way full doesn't make much of a difference in my experience. The transmission on my deuce overflows just before you reach the proper amount of lube anyway.
The Firestone 11.00x20's don't seem to cause trouble. It's the G177's that need caster adjustment. Look up a thread my Aswayze. He showed how he made his faster adjustment.
