    GM gauges

Double-checked my wiring diagram because I misunderstood your question... the ground goes straight to the main ground under the dash, it is not switched. Later, Joe

    GM gauges

My 1983 Civvie wiring diagram shows a common ground and common ignition powering the gauges with a separate sensor wire. Later, Joe

such a thing as conex trailer for deuce?

A flatbed trailer with a 40' deck and proper weight capacity would work for you, you'd just have to properly secure the container to the trailer. I dunno if there are any with a high enough pintle to hook to the deuce pintle though. I don't believe there are any 'bumper pull' container trailers...

    No engine power

Well, you can pull the outlet line and put it in a bucket, measure how much fuel it pumps out in a minute while cranking. The only thing I can figure is it's starving for fuel under load. 1st and reverse have deeper gears so it doesn't load the engine as much as 2/3. Later, Joe

    No engine power

My 83 Burban was doing the same thing, cut in and out and all kids of junk... the fuel pump was failing. Put a new one on and no problems since. Yes, the Civvie pump and filter are the same. And it's not sulfur additive... it's lubricity additive... the process to remove the sulfur strips the...

    So what's the difference between a M185 and a 109?

    Electrical Problems Bigtime

Have you checked the battery feed wire to the headlight switch? It is the orange wire tagged as 'Orange 40C' in the TM diagram to see if it has power? That appears to be where all of the lighting system gets its power from. Later, Joe

    the wrecker runs again

The TM for the 543 are the 211 series... 9-2320-211-10 is the operator's manual 4th is best unless your 4th isn't direct... I'm used to my 816 so I'm not sure if your 543 has an OD tranny. Use whichever gear is direct 1:1 in your tranny. I just run the crane in 4th (direct) at idle and have...

    M932A2 new owner

I have the electronic copy of the -24p but I don't think there's a 34p. I have the 936A2 and haven't come across anything that's not in the -24p yet. The filter under the heater is the transmission filter (there's one in the trans too) The gauges are: Tach / Speedo / Engine Temp / Primary Air...

    Is it True?

In this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?t=15252&page=5 It is being discussed, apparently the 1009 has changed code, but the 1008 hasn't. It doesn't look good though. Later, Joe

    the wrecker runs again

Here's the short side of how to operate the boom... 1) Verify position of controls on back deck... crane engaged, winch disengaged 2) Try clutch lever on rear deck, if clutch engages, pedal will drop to the floor, if not, hold the clutch yourself 3) Put transfer case lever in Neutral 4) Put...

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

The Demil Integrity Code for most military vehicles HAS changed from 6 to 3, meaning that they must be mutilated before being sold. That is a hard fact. Later, Joe

    939 Protective Control Box source

I will have to look again as I didn't look that closely into it, but I believe you are correct, it's a standard cannon plug with a rubber gasket between the body and plug shell. Later, Joe

    939 Protective Control Box source

I did some NSN searching on Google and came up with a good supplier hit for the 939 control box, I purchased one for my 936A2 wrecker and it works flawlessly so far... I can't test the voltage regulator yet since I haven't gotten it started. Southern Automotive Wholesalers Inc...

    Found a M1010 in Canada

That's probably one of the cleanest M1010's I've seen outside the Military... and it beats some in the military... LOL Later, Joe
