I didn't see this before I left this morning, but he does have some cab tops, or aftermarket fiberglass ones that he makes. Not sure on the price though.
The radiator is $650 for a good used one

Pretty slim to none since a CUCV weighs more than 600 lbs... LOL
In all honesty, it's a pig in a poke deal unless you (or someone else) can go look at it. There is no telling whether or not it will run, however, the law of averages would lean you towards getting one needing only minor repair if...
I called NAPA and asked for that part number (4863) and they told me that there were none nationally and they were $86 if they had them... what part number are you using to get them for $15?

The guy at Rancher's is John Carder... I'm heading down there tomorrow to get the transmission cooler for my 936A2 so I MIGHT be able to fire it up this weekend.

No, the 939A2 'C's didn't get the coolant filter on the T-stat housing for some reason. Most of the industrial ones did though. I wonder if there's enough room to retrofit the housing/filter assembly... I'll have to do some measurements and get with some of my old coworkers at Cummins to find...
Yea, I think that's what happened. The seals on the injectors failed, pumping the crankcase full of fuel or the one of the heads cracked allowing the fuel passage to leak into the crankcase.
Hopefully the shut down was quick enough to prevent any MAJOR damage from occurring.

Welcome... I'm on the other side of town by Peterson AFB, but I get down to Carson regularly. In fact, I have a 1008 to pick up on Monday if you'd like to come down and say 'hi'. I'll be towbar-ing it out of there. Drop me a line if you'd like to meet up.
