I did a quick search here, and looked at the -24P and did not see anything that goes in this 1/4NPT hole in the fuel cap.
Or is this cap not correct/original GI?
Member Wire Fox saw a pic of my unsecured tool access door in another thread and asked if I had issues with it flopping in the wind.
The answer is yes. I was hoping to stumble across a set of the hold down rubber latches for less than 20 bucks each. They are the same as on the back of the...
Bet bet is get the high back seat kit.
It had everything to do the two front seats complete. It was a fun one day project but big improvement. It includes a storage compartment under the drivers seat and WAY better adjustment. The "commanders side" (passenger) has some reinforcing plate to...
Do you want the military one, or just a normal wiper blade?
Wiper arm NSN 2540012124959
wiper blade NSN 2540011997778
I retrofitted a plain ol 11" blade from autozone. Used the original arm and bolt. Took off the mil blade and removed the center pin of the civ blade and used that hole to bolt...
Can these slip yokes be assembled out of phase? My HMMWV has an aligning spline that soldier proofs the shaft assembly. All the u-joints on the HMMWV front shaft are out of phase with each other on purpose.
Man...you scared me there. Went and looked up the part numbers and the TM(24-P) shows the WTEC2 as being 29519627
Not sure what the small one is, though. It has a different part number that the listed WTEC3 and a different connector from the illustration
This thread made me check mine...
I could see a faint "D" stamped in.
The driveline angles on this thing are dictated by funky military requirements and not customer NVH complaints.
Other reading I've done mentioned that the research into the vibration would best be fixed with RZEPPA style...
OK.
Searched that part number and found this pic on Ebay
So the small connector jives with the harness I got.
Is the large connector the same no matter what year? I have an unknown year PDP/harness assembly that has the PX33 plug that fits that VIM that I will have to cut and graft onto my...
Im starting to piece together the trans wiring harness from the Frankenstein parts box.
According to the TM, at the tail end of 20-5, I seem to have the TID 1 version of the transmission.
Then there is this illustration...
Im trying to figure out what VIM I need to go with and the...
Huh...looked them up.
Odd combination of functions, but basically a rain hat for a hole in the block. For some reason it looks more involved than it is.
I believe that the crankcase fumes are handled by the thing on top of the secondary fuel filter housing. Not sure how though. I'd like to see how it functions.
Yeah. We are trying to make sense of what we are seeing and following the pipes and wires and valves and guessing using comparative anatomy techniques.
The systems all have a few places that you can bypass/isolate/cross feed/parallel for combat survivability purposes.
Having the TMs would be a...
It's mostly complete....mostly. He got the tanks cleaned out and motors fired up smartly. Found the hose connection to circulate water. Thing has more redundant systems than the moon lander. That's where TMs would come in handy. I'm learning about boats in the Arizona sun on this thing.

Just went through phone calls with Allison, Stewart&Stevenson, and all the allison affiliated truck service centers near me(12) and nobody knows if my trans is WTEC2 or WTEC3. Everybody pointed back at Stewart&Stevenson and they said they aren't in the truck business anymore and he tried but...
