    Humvee floor mats

Go to Tractor Supply and buy a thick rubber floor mat you find near the front doors. Usually 4' X 3', then cut it up to fit. Just a thought... https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/utility-rubber-mat-black-4-ft-x-3-ft-x--frac12-in

    6.5 Motor replacement cost

I saw that about a week ago and it was originally listed for $7000. He's gone up $1500 in a week. I bet a good negotiator would get it for $6K.

Geared hub drain plug removal advice

This is the answer. I was going to link exactly the same tool. You have to use it right. Drill to the correct size. Then tap the extractor in with a brass hammer. Then slide the hex tool on the extractor. MAKE SURE IT IS SLID ON ALL THE WAY TO THE STUCK DRAIN PLUG. It is extremely...

    Advice Please: Planning 4L80 Conversion

When I did mine it didn't move 1/8" and didn't have any problem and that was after building a custom support for the engine. Bolted the custom support on just in case and never needed to be there.

A simple mistake is a small price to pay versus $350-500 for a new fan clutch. Glad you figured it out!

Tips on unsticking a fan clutch?

One, you're pounding on the pulley and it has nothing to due with the fan clutch. STOP beating your pulley. Here are the posts from my stuck fan clutch. If yours is anything like mine.... well, no amount of beating will help...

    Temp/fan data plate replacement..knobs

I am replacing mine also but haven't done it yet. As I understand the process, the knobs do not come off. You have to disconnect the other end of the cable and pull it through the engine bay, firewall, dash and data plate. Then replace the plate and put the cables back in place. Some day...

    2015 M1123, what TCM do I need?

The TCM is basically a standard GM part but mounted in rugged case with military connectors. They had different TCM's for different years and there were a couple different model years for the 4L80. Do you want to retain the stock HMMWV setup? There are many stand alone aftermarket TCM's that...

Who can guess the winning BID?

It has its pros and cons but looking at all the little stuff and a few big things, I wouldn't bid over 10K. Considering the other costs involved after you win the bid and then all the other stuff (depending on how you want to drive it), probably adds another 10K. I couldn't see being into it...

do an ebay search for HMMWV HEATER and you'll find both at different prices. The one I links was the cheapest and I'd bet you could use the knob.

    Rear winch suggestions

Pictures would be very helpful when asking questions like these however I think I found a picture you posted previously and it looks like an Air Lift Bumper and Rhino tire carrier. So this begs the question if you have the hitch extension as well and if you are using the civilian hitch adapter...

    Rear winch suggestions

It was, I saw it. I'm surprised. The website still has it .... until they read this I guess. When I bought mine from them it was $105 and I sent an offer and got it for $90. Nobody wanted them at the time I guess. Sad part is you can buy it new for $181 here ...

    Rear winch suggestions

I don't think it is a requirement because it doesn't attach to the bumper itself. From a manual or military aspect it might but I think it would only need a simple bracket made to bolt to. #6 is the bumper mounting bracket the winch attaches to, real easy to make something..

    My new 1992 M998 Avenger

The truck ran great all year. No leaks, no issues and starts right up. We have some snow coming (not much) and that signals to me it's time to put the truck in the garage for the winter. Not that it can't take the winter but so I can keep working on it and moving the project forward. My...
