I have a satellite picture of my M929 while it was at Pineville, LA.
It was easy to identify because there was a good land mark visible (dirt pile) and the truck had a camo hard top and was tan overall. You can see the camo top just under the leading edge of the cab protector. The other...
Machinist75, I got the o-ring kits Harbor Freight, you just have to match them up with what you take out. Or you could take the o-rings to a hardware store and match them there.
Eric, the Corvette is driving 3 accessories with the idler pulley next to the driven pulley and the OP's application is driving 1 accessory. Is that what you mean by Apples to Oranges? Please explain that if I have it wrong.
Which brings me to my first point, the force load on the Corvette...
Yes, I know. That must be why GM has been putting an idler pulley between the crank drive pulley and power steering pump pulley on their Corvettes all these years.
It's only 150 HP, any hill slows it down (at least it does mine). Has it always ran this way? White smoke is unburned fuel. If a glow plug is out you might get that at start up.
I don't think we are going to see it launch any where. It's a single belt, how much HP does it take to drive the water pump? I think the force load on the pulley will be within it's design parameters and the fabrication looks very professional so I doubt there will be a mechanical failure. If...
I've seen dump trucks and garbage trucks that have a channel with a pin through it bolted to the front bumper to make it easier to pull them if they get stuck. Maybe you could make something similar to go on the front of the bumper that would also reinforce it.
Jump the solenoid at the starter and see if the engine cranks. If not, you have a starter or connection problem assuming the batteries are good. If the engine cranks, check the control box and starter control circuit.
Good luck.
I filtered all my oils (peanut, canola, soy, etc.) through string type (5 micron) water filters using either gravity or a small pump. I didn't preheat, I just let the oil settle for as long as possible before filtering and drew the oil about 3 inches off the bottom of the container. As long as...
