From your description of the problem, I doubt the problem is in the transmission other than too much fluid. The yellow pages would be a good place to find a towing company and also an Alison repair shop. On the other hand, you could try re-reading this thread and take some of the suggestions...

You can get the starter tested at an auto parts store. There is a maximum no-load current spec. If it exceeds that spec, once under load it will draw more amps than the vehicle start circuit (batteries, cables, etc.) can supply.

I did the same thing. Go to Walmart and buy one of the small hand transfer pumps and stick the suction hose down the fill tube on the transmission. Suck the excess out. The transmission must be at operating temp to show the correct level. Mine didn't blow fluid out when it was overfull. Is this...

I agree. If the front seal isn't leaking, it's probably from a previous seal change. I have seen new seal springs come out in the package so I guess they could in the engine. I don't know if the seal would leak if the spring came out.

Pull the transmission dipstick and see if there is air coming out of the tube while the engine is running.

Even with a muffler you still need hearing protection because the transmission, transfer case, and axles all sing pretty loud at highway speeds. Below 45 MPH it's not too bad. YMMV.

I barred my NHC250 over using a socket and breaker bar on the accessory drive pulley bolt. If the fan is on the engine it will be a time consuming pain in the A (in an M818).

Behr is easy to clean. Mud and GA clay comes off easy with a pressure washer. I painted my M929 last year before the GA Rally with Behr Ultra exterior flat and was having trouble getting the adhesive stencils I made stick long enough to paint them. I did the same as the OP and pressure washed...

I've soaked brake shoes in gas to clean them. Let them sit in the sun or heat them after to make sure the oil is washed out. The heat will make any residual oil come to the surface.
