Something wrong with photo 2, The OD shows up as chrome and the central engine appears to have a blower.
If you told the story already I'm sorry I missed it. What is it?
The City owns the land and plans to develop it for housing. http://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/projects_redevelopment/edmonton-city-centre-airport-land-redevelopment.aspx
It all comes down to tax dollars
* increasing revenue to the City over the long term (between $91M and $486M), which...
My mother was born in 1929 and grew up near this airport. During the war her family housed servicemen and she met people from all over the world as well as stealing a ride in an Anson during a time when civilians didn't normally fly in borrowed military aircraft. Her friend Pat Purdhem(sp) and...
I don't know the 250 well but learning about my 1693 Cat. Up here we seem to be more concerned about oil moving in the motor then anything else. In the old days we'd just plug in the block heater on the gas jobs and they would usually fire up with the lifters hammering for a few minutes. Maybe...
Just did a "front window re-seal" search and found this http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?69699-Windshield-Frame-Seal
You may want to search some old truck forums or maybe even you tube. I'm not seeing many more photos of this process so maybe we need a video tutorial like this one...
There are a couple ways you can find gunfreaks palate. One way is to click on his name.....then 'view forum posts'. It's a busy gunfreak so lots to scroll through. You can also go back through the Early Deuce Forum and dig until you find it.
Once you find the particular thread that might help...
I complained enough about the crack on the edge of the drivers seat that one of the boys in my shop swapped the passenger seat with the drivers seat in my M1010 when I was sleeping.
They didn't seem to have any problems but these guys were resourceful, good luck.
Used G749 trucks
If they ever filled that tank and went off-roading the springs sure had a work out. It's over a thousand gallons and probably weighs a thousand pounds empty. Oh the stories this old truck could tell. It looks like it's 5' high 10' long around 1500 gallons, 15,000 lbs..wow...
Box looks good. You have a tailgate,,, that's rare. Hard to tell in the photo but the hood looks good too. How does that center rib running up the hood look?
The steering wheel doesn't look cracked either so maybe someone 'babied' this thing. What's in the bottle? My guess is that it's coffee...
I'm very busy grinnin' but will stop for a sec. to wish ya luck, may the road to recovery bring stories of grandeur and success, good luck.
Another deuce on Steel Soldiers, he he he he he, nice.
You just solved my sisters camping shower problem. We camp off-grid and she's been using the black shower bag hanging in a tree trick. Great tip and story, thank you. Just reading through the TM's on the 90,000 btu Janitrol Aero booster heater. Heat range 180-200 degrees drawing 5- 6 1/2 amps @...
Offer noted and accepted, thank you. Poured concrete with an EFD Captain this summer so trying to get some local fire fighters on board too. Not too many P-4's up north so I'll take all the support I can get.

P-4 M-1500 Manuals and Parts List
Through good fortune and a bit of strategy the email I sent to the wrong guy at Oshkosh received a reply with a very large pdf link containing the parts manual and Standard Specification for the Oshkosh Series M-1500 Crash/Fire/ Rescue Vehicle.
Amazing...
P-4 specs
Appreciate the replies Gentlemen, any photos to go with those memories would be a great add to the thread. Tried to load a map of Colchester VT and the Burlington airport but I'm not that good either.
Keith, if you have any more stories on the P-4 they would be most welcome.
Found...
When I started hunting for info on the diffs I thought I saw 'for sale' on one of the hundred M240HX1 5.812:1 web pages I visited.
If the Cat doesn't purr in the spring for under 5 grand it might not need axles.....must be the booze talkin', it'll run.
This thread will be open to all Fire Fighters and Service Folks who may have a story on the P-4 Crash truck and all Fire Fighting related stories suited to Steel Soldiers.
The P-4 in the photos will be preserved with Poly Paint with some big hopes the Cat 1693 is healthy enough to make this...
