Powder Coated Lettering
Last year we took a valve cover in to Impact Coatings for a dedication project. They used a standard 383 green and my neighbour did the lettering with off the shelf White Tremclad.
This year we took the cover back to Impact for a satin clear coat to preserve the...

Heat Start Switch
Tempus fugit
Getting started on getting started..........
We're missing a Heat Start Switch.
Manual shows 3 wires and we have 4 as well as a few numbers that don't match.
I'm thinking it's like the switch on any CAT but I can't let it turn out like the time I was thinking...
Not Ocean/ Mountain pics but close to both. Where did you find the snow?
If that's in Vancouver I'm changing plans.
I always wondered where they grew 12" long sticks but why are you driving on them? That'll just drive the price up on 12" long sticks.
There are a few photos on this thread of the Oil Pan Cooler Assembly. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?111252-M135-trans-fill-blew-up

If 120psi won't go through the cooling lines it will be real interesting to see what could...

Compressor cooling G749
Page 456 Hot Tub TM 9-8024 says lubricated by engine and cooled by engine.

Thanks for posting the pics. You have some history info for her? Love to hear those stories about where they've been and what they've done.....for 60 years.
If you haven't heard the "what you gonna do with that" question yet ??????
Mileage?
Last time used, serviced?
If she sat for a while...
This should have been easy with a search for "Citizen Band Radio Law in Canada" but my confidence that I have an absolute answer is low......so I'm wrong again. The consensus is that your steering wheel needs to be in your hands while driving.
'keep your eyes on the road and your hands behind...
Old MV Outdoor Storage
The design of the back window lets precip' build up on the back channel so I'm thinking a guy should cover these holes.
Most of the deuce rear window channels seem to be rotten already and Goose had snow packed in the frame so it's just a matter of time. Maybe a piece of...
Eventually it will warm up and the ice will melt off your doors so you can all get outside again.
Found some reading material about whale oil and its use in the auto industry including military use. Thought I could find whale oil in an Early Deuce TM somewhere but.......my door still opens...
Ukrainian Christmas
SuperDave, I missed this so I'm glad we've spoken. We still have the lights up so we can celebrate Ukrainian Christmas. Z Rizdvom Khrystovym

........ or there are no mechanics in San Diego.........
I've met a few good guys down there hanging around El Cajon but I don't know of any specific diesel shops so this may be of no or little help.
Try John at Autobahn parts and tell him a old, fat, balding Canadian suggested John has...

My stockings still stunk, the smell hung in the air
but my deuce still runs without maintenance or...
I had some wire scrubbing where the harness and all the add on wire junk went through the fire-wall. With the wire nest under the dash it made sense to me to nestle down on the floor boards and work on electrical in hidden places. Very uncomfortable difficult work is my starting point for some...
That is hilarious, I have your fender.........a purchase by a past business partner that was supposed to by 1978 fender instead he bought a 1987 fender. Think he had diklessskier. I couldn't throw it out so maybe I can bring it in Spring or get it on a truck with someone heading to an MV bash...
