Now that's a MAN'S crapper. No sissy little 1 quart flushes for that baby. [thumbzup] That will be especially handy after a night of Captain Morgan and a plate of baked beans at the GA Rally!!! People will be waking up to the sound of power (flushing) instead of cursing coming out of the...
It probably doesn't have to comply. For example, the engine data plate on my multi-fuel specifically says it is exempt from the clean air act.
I've read before that MVs have to comply to the rules in place or conditions specified in the contract at the time were built. I believe that...
No problem spicergear, it's easy to miss things.
I'll keep an eye on them ICAT; if they loosen up again, I'll replace them.
I hear you James, my rule is if the spring pack comes out (usually with broken leaves), it gets new u-bolts going back in.
I don't know if I've ever seen lock nuts for spring u-bolts. Spring u-bolt nuts are longer for a larger thread contact area.
I didn't over-torque them. I used a torque wrench. Please reread the first post; last sentence in 2nd to last paragraph. My example in post #6 was just that, an example...
I did. It's pounds of force x length of arm. If you put 75 lbs of force on a 4 foot lever you get 300 FT-LBS. I figured 300 FT-LBS was minimum. The old timer at the spring shop I got the u-bolts from said to use a 4 foot pipe and not to worry about breaking them. That was a long time ago...
I pressure washed the Deuce today and afterwards did an inspection front to back. I look at everything from suspension to drive train, brakes, oil drain plugs :gimp:, etc
When I was checking the front axle springs and u-bolts I noticed the lock washers on the spring u-bolts did not look fully...
Just let Ray come over and pick up the extra stuff. He/we know not to park near Chris's vehicle so there shouldn't be a problem.
A/C, did you get your truck fixed yet? :D
Probably the insurance paid off and ended up with it. I remember the story but not the out come.
Good to have spare parts Ray. Since you have the big tires, how about a bobber?
Believe it or not, this was a failure in hand signals too. When flying heavy transport aircraft the pilot that is flying puts his hand on the thrust/throttle levers and initiates the power change. If he wants takeoff power, he says "takeoff power" and pushes the levers forward and the flight...
I put two group 31 batteries from Advanced Auto Parts in the M818 and it starts fine. They are 1185 CCA each. I think the 6TLs are 800 CCA each so you are looking at 1600CCA with 4 of the 6TLs.
DW11, if the airpack and maybe the master cylinder are bad, the wheel cylinders are probably in the same condition. You really need to pull the wheels and hubs and check them. Wouldn't be a bad idea to inspect and repack the wheel bearings too.
Look at the rubber brake lines while you're at...
Don, I can't believe you are painting over ODDBALL'S ink blot paint job!!! I was sure I had seen his truck in one of those pictures with the ink blots.[thumbzup]
I think it would hold better if it's rough. It's not like a service brake where if the drum is rusted and pitted it grinds the brake shoe down because the pieces come together while they are in motion. The truck should be stopped when you put the parking brake on.
If it's bad hit it with a...
+2 or 3 with the heat. Put the ox act torch with a cutting or rosebud tip (lots of heat to heat the plug only) right on the plug. Once it changes color a little you should be able to get it off. Don't heat it long enough to burn the truck down, it doesn't need to be glowing.
