The V/M terminal is hot at all times with 24v. Controlled by fuse #12
Fuse #15 - Ignition Control
With the Key in the RUN position you will have 12v at the three terminals on the...
Have you taken a good look at your battery cables? I have seen it many times that the cables are corroded inside the plastic.
Also make sure that all the connections are clean and tight. This includes both ends of the cable.
An often overlooked area is the attachment points for the ground...
The #12 fuse is just for the 24v side of the voltmeter and GEN2 relay. The two relays next to the starer relay are for the voltmeter and GEN2

"The U-2 is very sensitive to crosswinds which, together with its tendency to float over the runway, makes the aircraft notoriously difficult to land. As it approaches the runway, the cushion of air provided by the high-lift wings in ground effect is so pronounced that the U-2 will not land...
With enough money and time, anything is possible
In order to convert the CUCV GP system to the civvy controller, it will take some effort. And I would ask why?
Now on the civvy trucks, the 1982-1984 GM diesels used a round style controller. They where prone to failure. The The 1985-2000ish...
I have purchased a lot of lost from www.aspwholesale.com
