I do not know the year that they changed the ABS system, but on your truck the ABS sensor is inside the wheel hub itself. The teeth and sensor are a sealed unit.
The CV joint that they installed will work with the older style or your newer style system.
On the 16ga fusiable link you should have 24v from the 24v Positive Terminal block all the way to the large Red red wire at the starter relay under that dash. It is hot at all times. Key on or off.

The 16 ga wire on the 24v Positive Terminal Block is the one that feeds the 24v to the starter relay and on down to the starter solenoid.
You should have voltage on both sides of the of the link. Without it your starter will not work.
Lets talk about the spark you heard.
Was it when you where reinstalling the mounting bracket for the Starter Relay and the other two relays (voltmeter and GEN2)?
If so it is possible that you shorted the 24v terminal on the relay and burned out the fusible link.
If the lever is not used the grease and o-ring will harden and dry up. It takes years.
If the lever is not used and is left in position it is it usually won't break.
With you using the lever on a regular basis you don't have anything to worry about.
The replacement of the o-rings isn't hard...
Sounds like your starter is just worn out and needs a rebuild.
You never did say for sure which starter you have. Assuming the older direct drive.
