    Huge shoutout to Guyfang!

I posted a while back about needing a diagnostic tool, and Guyfang stepped up and offered me "this thing I'm not sure what it's for, but you're welcome to it".... Not commenting on the speed of the global mail system, but yesterday afternoon I received this in the mail, and as soon as I figure...

M923 A2 HI LO Stiff shifting Problems

Thank you! So when I get home I'll check the "wet tank" test and also I'll listen for the solenoid. If, by chance the solenoid doesn't click or the werlt test works, what is "the fix" for this? I apologize, but this system is so different than my old deuce.

M923 A2 HI LO Stiff shifting Problems

OK gents- I **know** this thread is old... but.... I seem to be having the same issue, but am not sure what "airing down" refers to. It seems like my "magic button" isn't working. Based on an earlier post, to check that, I need to have the truck at operation air pressure, but shut off...

    M936 wrecker boom leaking down

Good info. And based on what's been posted, it sounds like a 3 way open center valve with a pilot operated check inline. I would be very interested to see the hydraulic schematics of the system in question. And you are correct about no power=no relief. We have 7 function arms and every...

    M936 wrecker boom leaking down

Before you pull your cylinders apart, is there a counterbalance valve in the assembly they are hooked to? It would usually be a block that the lines have in common. If so it's possible your valve body is worn out or needs adjusting. Something to check before you start pulling stuff apart. On...

Reversing with the transfer case in low range

Yes. There were some folks at smarter than me doing math and from what I gathered (any mistake in the comprehension is totally my fault) is that there is a 10:1 torque ratio multiplication happening, and the cases weren't designed for that.

Reversing with the transfer case in low range

    CTIS TM issue

Hello.... I've tried downloading the "Dana CTIS Troubleshooting Guide" several times and when I try to open it I keep getting an "Invalid Format" error. This is with several .pdf reader applications.... any help? If someone happens to have it and can email it, my email is my user name at...

Reversing with the transfer case in low range

Also, I've read the thread(s) where people say they've thrashed or seen thrashed transfer cases. The answer I'm looking for is the technical reason we can't. I get torque is an issue, but why?

Reversing with the transfer case in low range

Hello all! I was reading the -10 TM and was reading/learning about the transfer case, how to use it etc and one thing I noticed was in the "speed" section for each gear in each range, Reverse was blanked out in "Low" and it unequivocally stated "DO NOT DRIVE IN REVERSE IN LOW" (or something to...
