Which one? There's the old school medium tow bar and then there are the lightweight Ibis Tek ones, which I believe have 2 different types mounting. I've got an Ibis Tek version but I won't be able to get any pics until this weekend.

Looks good, but they don't appear to offer enough protection for keeping debris from being kicked up. I believe that most states require 6-8" from the ground or enough protection to keep degree from being thrown back at a certain predetermined angle. I suppose it's better than nothing at all...

Maybe that is dependent on the location? I'm aware of more than several M1152's here on the east coast for instance that were obviously green at one time, but are very much tan in and out now. They've got event worse paint jobs as anything I've ever seen coming out of the auctions too.

I've never seen a gasket between the roof and sponsons besides the hatch gasket that is attached to the circumference of the hatch itself. Of every hard top truck I've taken apart or looked at, that space has been filled with goop (silicone type substance). As for keeping it air and water tight...

Whoops, you're right. Like you looked up, it says 1996 - but I've never seen one during my time in service (96-00). The first time I ever saw one was in the 2000-2001 timeframe.

I wouldn't count on it anytime soon, but I suppose we could be surprised.
