    Humvee starter

You need to inspect the flywheel (flex plate) teeth, many times there will be a bed spot necessitating the replacement of the flex plate

    Power Steering noise and problem

It is not likely the booster would give you pump noise and rough steering, me personally I would much rather replace a booster than a pump. Have you replaced all the o rings in the high pressure hose fittings and all the return hoses? If the system was working fine and not low on fluid and then...

    Power Steering noise and problem

ikoinu has a great point, you have not described the noise nor have you said if the belt was loose or tight, failing brackets/mounts for various components can cause noise and a loose belt which can effect the steering. Bad or seizing idler pulleys can cause all kinds of symptoms So is it a...

The Humvee takes off on its own like if someone flipped the "After Burner" switch.

I darn sure would, do you know where I can get one cheap?

    M1097A2 build thread

54C is the fuel solenoid circuit, on some vehicles the diode is used for noise suppression, in some cases may be used to suppress radio interference but not likely here as the solenoid is ether on or off so would not be an interference issue. In any case you should unplug it as it is possible...

    700R4 transmission in a HMMWV

No, the 242 does not have that input shaft available as far as I know, but there were several different renditions of the 242 so I would think it might be possible, with the absence of a clocking ring it is a rather moot point unless you want to build one from scratch as I did, I actually ended...

    Hmmwv fuel solenoid

Welcome to the SS forums!! You may want to score yourself some of the 5 point torx bits so you can take the top off of the IP. What did the fuel filter look like?

    M1097A2 build thread

What is the wire tag number that the device is plugged into (right above the IP in the picture), also the other end should be plugged into another wire or something

    Something rattling in my head

Welcome to the SS forums, try cracking each injector line loose one at a time on that side of the engine and see if you can narrow it down to one cylinder. And as Spankybear says some just have a life of their own.

The Humvee takes off on its own like if someone flipped the "After Burner" switch.

I think the switch he talks about is only on the 3 speed, the TPS controls all throttle functions to the transmission.

That looks like a diode or "suppressor" I think they call it, they put them inline with inductive devices like the run and cold start solenoids and the horn circuit to help keep from frying things like the EESS box with my favorite evil, Reverse Electromotive Force.

I am not sure why but I see allot of non working NOCO chargers for sale on the popular action site.

Military to Civilian Engine Swap Questions

But you also must build it as a NA as the pickup block does not have the pedestal for the center mount turbo fully machined. Now since you have a basic or A1 machine and if you do not care about future A/C etc, I believe some have managed to install the truck motor basically as is with some...

The Humvee takes off on its own like if someone flipped the "After Burner" switch.

I would inspect the linkage and cable and the accelerator pedal carefully. Does there seem to be ANY other influence that could be a "precursor" to the event????

The Humvee takes off on its own like if someone flipped the "After Burner" switch.

What gets me is the TPS controls the downshift, along with the programming in the TCM. So how is the TPS creating WOT without the shaft moving and at the same time the internal gov/linkage fails do do its job creating the same WOT condition as the TPS  Or is the shaft actually moving.....

I do not believe "Humvee" and "afterburner" have ever been used together before :ROFLMAO:

PETLAS Has anyone tried these tires?

HA, HA No I did the Chinese yesterday, I try and limit to about twice a week. No, today I have to go do my civic duty and then stop by DQ and get Diggy Dog a chocolate malt and me a pup cup, wait that does not sound right

PETLAS Has anyone tried these tires?

Thanks, I own a ranch in S TX, you can't swing a dead Rattlesnake around here without hitting a plug kit. Those are great for when you get bathed in tire sealant from that large thorn hole (yes they are that big) in the front tire on your tractor. IMHO the only way to patch any radial tire and...
