That's pretty cool, I would like to find one of those, or get off my lazy butt and build one :ROFLMAO:

    Do you own a 4 speed R1?

I have a question for those that own a M1097R1 with 4 speed and serpentine belts. What is your GVWR listed on the data plate?? I just bought a R1 that is apparently equipped like an A2 with 4 speed, serpentine belt etc. but it has a GVWR listed as 10K, I would have thought it would be 10300lb...

The anaerobic is normally used for machined surfaces and the RTV is for pressed (tin) surfaces

    M998 Starter Solonoid adjuster cover

Yes, I saw that, there is no reason for AMG to charge $23, but then again not every company has the ability to move stuff like Midway, there stuff gets picked packed and out the door with no human intervention, those parts would probably cost $4-5 to ship. I just keep a running cart with spares...

It's the $23 shipping that is the killer

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Well it is a Humvee, technically it is not a HMMWV :) Kinda awesome though, did not know any were out "in the wild"

    6.5TD Boost

Sounds pretty normal, you can convert to a manually adjustable waste gate and get about 10psi boost, you do not want over 12-15psi fuel pressure as it affects the IP timing. You will not notice much if any gain.

    It's alive!!!

I did not think the fuel system was connected to the vent system, I thought it had a vent line that ether terminated near the air filter or connected to the air filter system when equipped with fording valve. To answer your question you should remove the non used lines and no line should be...

NP218 - Speedometer Gear Installation Help

That is a very strange problem, but this is not the first time I have heard someone having this issue, I do not remember seeing a resolution though. Coming out of the TC it is correct, coming out of the adapter it is backwards, weird

NP218 - Speedometer Gear Installation Help

As I said looking towards the speedo it needs to turn counter clockwise, so looking towards the t case it would be turning clockwise. So if you spin the input to the adapter counter clockwise, you are looking towards the speedo then the output would need to turn clockwise as you are now looking...

PETLAS Has anyone tried these tires?

I ordered the tire on Friday and it got here today, I had to laugh, normally the Fedex driver rolls the tires off of the truck and into my gate with more force that I care for but today it got away from him and rolled into the bar ditch, so he got to go down into the ditch and drag it out! a...

NP218 - Speedometer Gear Installation Help

So if you turn the input counter clockwise the output should turn clockwise.

NP218 - Speedometer Gear Installation Help

Check the direction, looking towards the speedo the cable should be turning counter clockwise, so looking at the adapter output it should be turning clockwise

NP218 - Speedometer Gear Installation Help

Did you replace the 90 deg adapter that goes on the transfer case? that is the only thing I can think of that would "reverse" the cable direction.

    It's alive!!!

Since you are having trouble you should start by replacing all the return lines. The vent line from the PS pump should not only go to the filter it should also be connected to the front and rear vent system, that would be the fuel pump, all the hubs and differentials, the transmission and...

    It's alive!!!

Here is a simplified schematic the line that went from the PS pump to the valve should now go to the air filter, but you are probably getting air into the PS system somewhere that is what is causing the fluid to "bubble" out, you need to check all the return hoses and clamps and if that does not...

    It's alive!!!

You may have some air in the fan clutch circuit it should work itself out , I am trying to find a fording schematic, are you sure the PS pump is not over filled?? When you plug the TDM in and out can you hear the fan kick in and out?

Have you replaced the missing CDR valve???

    It's alive!!!

So you do not have the reservoir on top of the motor as shown in post #45, I was wondering how you could top off the fluids without a reservoir :)
