Haha, sadly true. I've got an 07' A1R and 08' A1R as well but lack the "special adapter" that allows EMS to diagnose issues directly. Since EMS is interactive and plays like a choose your own adventure when it comes to diagnostics it will also stop diagnostics until you hook it up to a truck...
My question is do they cover the A1 trucks with the 3126 or trucks post 2005 with the C7. Everything with the earlier models is published in pdf as I a have those too. The C7 stuff is only on EMS as far as I know besides the wire schematic as I scanned that.
The M-Gator is just a TH6x4 but with some add ons. If you're hell bent on being original then you'll need to piece one together starting with trying your luck at auction or just buying one whole on ebay from a guy for 13K. All components, except for add ons, are commercially available through...
The -10 is unclassified, with exception to foreigners (NOFORN) and available in PDF: link
The issue is the -20 and -34 don't exist in pdf and are in essence combined. The EMS NG program is the reader and isn't legal for distribution to the public. It gets a little more complicated from there as...
I respectfully disagree with you on the value of the vehicle and work performed. Memphis made out like like a bandit still. I'm not bad mouthing them as they are a business and need to make a profit to survive, sure, and things do happen. I'm glad to hear they made it right but they know the...
Did some wheel/tire swapping today among the A3's. The donor is on 6x 20 ton earth mover stands so it's not going anywhere lol. I'll slowly pick her for parts as I need them for the other two trucks. I know they're not the typical A2 banter but hey.. a deuce is a deuce.
I feel like I have a much better understanding of the truck now despite the seemingly poor choices in design. I'm tempted to tinker on my parts A3 but the body is so far gone it may be wasted effort. I did enjoy the community involvement and hope everyone enjoyed the ride.
Don't be fooled, the top injector is injector #5 pulled yesterday and spent 2 hours in the ultrasonic cleaner. It freed it up most of the way but it has a rough spot in at mid throttle and I opted to pull a good used injector from my donor truck (bottom) instead. Ironically injector #5 was the...
Truck #2: I continued fiddling with this truck and inspected the check valve on the return side which was fine. I removed the fuel filter and primed the system which got flow as well as a hairball equivalent of algae that popped out. It must have settled in the bottom of the pipe over time but...
Understood. It's something I've been looking for and makes me suspicious on truck #2. I eventually got a strong stream on truck #1 once the clog was resolved. I'll retrace my steps.
I know they are limited in surplus/civilian hands. A few FMTV shells got out a few years back through GP but they were rough and just the shell. No doors, windows, locks, etc. They'd be awesome to have for sure! I managed to grab an LTT (for HMMWV) by accident that was still in the crate and AM...
Problem #2
Now the other sister A3 I have is exhibiting the same symptoms so I repeated the same steps from the beginning and it too was clogged on the back side of the pump. I replaced the fuel filter, used a brake clean straw and cleaner to free the petcock/drain, physically inspected all...
Solution:
I did some deep diving on Ag forums and found some other check valves in the transfer pump/governor. I pulled the check valve off the back of the pump, this is the output side from the pump to the fuel filter. I removed the adapter plug and fished the plastic bit out which was a solid...
Yes can confirm, it's also below the fuel line. Pressurizing the fuel tank with air and cracking the line that goes into the governor/IP gives me solid fuel flow (and a mess). :ROFLMAO:
I pulled the both lines on the IP to check things out. The intake primer ball was in good shape but there is no strainer like in the video. The return/output line has the check valve and it's stiff. I've got it soaking at the moment. Unfortunately I don't have fuel that far to check it at the...
I can't justify spending money on something that I'll slam closed and splatter Dr. Pepper all over myself or cab. Neat design but there's a reason why most cupholders are in the center of the vehicle these days.
Welcome back! I was digging around your CUCVII posts and even sent you a few PM's to see if it would resurrect you but I didn't have Admin power apparently.
I've read the TM's and covered the dozen or so related SS thread regarding fuel prime on these M35A3 trucks but I fear my issue has surpassed the TM troubleshooting steps and into deeper water.
This M35A3 fired up momentarily when I first cranked her. She turns over quick. She does fire on...
