Was your break-away lever up a notch when it happened. When I picked mine up didn't notice it and it took about 30 miles of highway driving till it locked them up!aua
I have one NOS "B" pillar/roll bar and bunch of NOS "C" pillars and could drag them to Louisville if you are needing them. Loading the trailer now, leaving tomorrow.
OOPS, my bad, usually if you round off the corners of a glued patch they seem to stay longer. With a tear on the edge like yours I would wrap the patch around both sides, which it looks like you have done.
If it's dirty try to clean it as best as you can with a brush and if a rip, tear, hole...
The MVPA would love to have one on the East coast, but none of the affiliate chapters out there want to host one. Last one East was 2001 Fort Lee, VA. Next year it's and hour from the house!
On a rip like that you can use an awl to sew it back together, or if you have canvas of the same type cut a patch 2X the size of the rip,tear or hole then use Weldwood contact cement. Coat the patch and the area to be repaired, do it on a piece of plywood use a roller to get a good bond and wait...

No manhole covers but did find some early suction hoses with the brass strainer for trailers and two more Deuce/5T boarding ladders. One steel LMTV/MTV roof hatch and 2 of the big RALS sets
One of the "Buckeye" guys did this at the Dayton convention and it was the highlight of the meet.
