What did you do to your deuce this week?

Did you use one of the Newstar inner clamps? I found the loops on them that the screw goes through to be a little too large so when you turn the wheel the knuckle pushes it off. I did one on mine three times before I figured that out. You should reuse your old clamp and use a new screw, or buy...

How much do you drive yours? I would like to see how one would hold up under my driving habits.

Well, some people think these little imported turds running the road look good too. I'm sorry, but they look like they should have been crushed right off of the assembly line. The imports that is.

The transmissions in the a3 are known for being problematic. The cat motor will break down just like any other, and when it does you aren't fixing it on the side of the road, you aren't limping it home, and it will cost you big bucks to fix. The A3 does have the dual circuit brakes from the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

You may, or may not. If it has sprung one leak others are not far behind. To be safe I would have it recored.

I would love to have one on par with that. I don't have one at all as of yet.

Yep. Title is the main thing. Looks good otherwise.

Still well worth the money. You just may need to learn to weld sheet metal at some point. Probably won't be soon by the looks of it.

Jump on it. That price for a clean uncut 151a2 like that is unheard of. Rusted out crap that has been cut normally sells for that price.

Transfer Case out put shaft play

I'll have to agree. Sadly that is what I see everywhere now. Some of the smaller trans shops still replace all of the wear items, but few and far between.

    Purchased a 1943 Ford GPW

For what it's worth, which isn't much, I have never even seen any mention much less any pictures of the military using a rear output pto on the jeep. From my understanding it was a feature added to the production after the war to make them useful to the civilian market ( agriculture and such).

You need to check with CBRmetalworks. He had several when I was there.

Hard Top Gaskets / Seals for Restoration Project

Ok, that's the kit I was referring to. So do you have the gaskets that go between the two halves of the cab top and between the cab back and hard top back?
  19. Jeepsinker

    Can't fix my transmission issue.

That isn't the pan gasket. Someone probably put a new pump seal in without replacing the pump bushing. It will always leak until that bushing gets replaced. Either that or the converter is cracked. When you bolt up the converter to the flexplate, do you get proper converter drop? If not the...
