Long due update. Pulled the starter and took it to the shop for a rebuild yesterday. The armature was the main issue but the bushings were toasted enough to need replacing. Running the numbers it was cheaper to get a remanufactured Delco 50MT and the problem was solved. Starts faster than any MV...
