Looks like your seat warmer function worked as intended ntxcop. But yes are correct, you can run these trucks off of 2 batteries instead of the 4.
Not to hijack this thread but I'd be nervy riding on those XL's and they seem to always be in a state of decay if not dead flat. $100 isn't a bad price pending tread % and if you need a tube or not. I wouldn't mind putting them on a trailer or something light weight but never on a steer tire...
1. No EUC on these trucks. You'll get an invoice probably Monday-Tuesday.
2. Assume no fluids are present, batteries are dead if not missing - unknown. The 6TML style batteries require a deep cycle charger and a lot of time to revive if they even come back. Purchase any two top post style...
I have to back out this year. :x The museum should have a great turn out though, I just stopped by for business and they are putting together two WWI tanks for the show.
THANKS!!
..but seriously I must give a public thank you to NDT who helped me get my M916 recovered.. A few troubles, a few trips, but ultimately a few calls to him made the difference in getting the "Ugly Duckling" moving. For those who don't know it has the 16 speed Cat 7155 Semi-Automatic in...
To conclude this thread the dryer was the main culprit. Rebuilding the purge valve helped but ultimately the assembly has to be capped off to build enough pressure.
Working at getting the new to me m916 operational. Mechanically it is great, 2011 rebuild, but won't build air past 30 psi on the rear tank, front tank gauge is inop. I've been reading the tms and searching SS to prepare for the recovery but I'm at a loss so far. I attempted to air up the system...
Picked up a 017a on an m116a1 trailer from GSA. 1990 rebuild with 260hr on the clock. At first look she was used then put away wet (old gas plugged the fuel line, jerry can still attached) but with a bypass and an oil change she fired up like new. Now to load test when weather permits.
A very good read. +1 for Shell Rotella
