Hey,
I have a small leak from the front left air valve behind the front bumper, shown here as FN 13
It wiggles a little bit and I was wondering if there was a way to tighten up the weird nut on the back of it to stop the leak? I didn't want to try to touch it till I knew what was on the other...
I had a 1970 Kaiser M35A2 but sold it a couple years ago. Decided it was time for another MV.
1985 AM General M923, rebuilt at Red River 3-11. She is in great condition. Need to pick up some of the tools (chain hoist, glad hand tire filler, etc). Really just needs new wipers and it is fully...
I have been looking for a good exploded diagram of the front wheels and haven't come across one. That is why I was asking what seals are used.
I would hope to eventually get around to all the brakes/wheel cylinders. The pads were done on this truck not too long ago so I am not overly worried...
I will take a look at that. I had rebuilt my brake booster and replaced the master cylinder early this year, I am wondering if all the new found pressure is causing issues... lol
Hey,
I know I don't have all the proper "big" tools to fix my one leaking axle. Is there anyone in the North Jersey area that would have time in the next month or so to help? I could drive to you or you could come to my house. Either way the pizza and beer is on me + whatever else.
I...
you want to look and see if it's leaking from a wheel cylinder.
I just went through replacing/rebuilding my whole brake system. The fluid goes from MC to the front section of the air pack. From this point it's either getting into the air side of the air pack or coming out of a wheel cylinder...
Brakes are great after replacing the MC and rebuilding the air pack!!!
The feeling of being locked out of the brakes was definitely the airpack. The other problem i had was slow pedal return, that was the master cylinder. I replaced that also.
Rebuilding the airpack was totally worth it. Mine...

Hey guys,
Does anyone know the size of the ferrule air line fittings used on the copper pipe going into the airpack and going out of the air pack?
From searching around here it appears to be 3/8" for the in and the out. Can anyone verify?
Thank you!
I got the air pack rebuilt today. Reinstalled it and started bleeding brakes. I need to replace a compression fitting for one of the air lines out of the airpack. It is leaking upon release of the pedal fairly severly. I am guessing it's the one that returns unspent air back to the air...
What I get right now is a few good brake pushes and the pedal slowly starts working its way up higher and successive pushes result in less braking. This will go till about 5 or so pushes when the brakes don't function at all, the pedal won't move at all, and there is some air leaking from the...
Sticky pedal problems were fixed with a new master cylinder. I still kick locked out of the brakes and sometimes get "kick back" into the pedal. I also noticed some air is leaking from the back lid of the airpack. I ordered an airpack rebuild kit.
Problem 1/2 fixed. I will continue to...
