Got mine just over a year ago. Its now down to the frame and motor. Ready to start putting it back together.
John Bizal, Midwest Military, is a great guy and very helpful with parts and knowledge.
Search the forum for info and download the TM's. The 9 series TM's are not nearly as good as the Deuce TM's but at least you'll have something to work with.
I put an alcohol system on mine as well as automatic water drains on both tanks. No issues with moisture even in the teens for temps. Do a search on this forum and you'll find all the info you need.
I thought about that. Found a local guy that has the right equipment that will cut and sew to length a cover for $75. Not too bad for a custom fit cover. Now I just need to get with papacom and get the stuff !
Got two replacement corner bolts and nuts for the two that were bad. Installed those and rewelded the little steel ring retainers so they won't fall off. I think I have a line on a new cover to cut down so waiting to see if that happens.
Hopefully weather will cooperate so I can grind the...
If you are not getting the truck up to operating temp for a while to warm up the oil it will be high. My truck will peg the gauge for a while then after 30 minutes of driving it will be 40 at idle. Takes a while to warm up. Big motor lots of oil

I removed a 3' section and welded it back so that it looks stock except shorter. I first cut the bed down the used the sides to help square and...
Well the cover after carefull thought is not worthy of spending the money to shorten up. I need to find an excellent condition cover for the job.
Made some preliminary measurements and have a plan for the tow bar install on the front of the bed. I think it will look good and be easy to...
Here's the link for the speedo:
Willys Jeep Parts, Restoration & Wiring from Walck's 4 Wheel Drive | Speedometer Assembly 0-70 mph 1945-1956 CJ Models
I put this on because of the 395 tire upgrade. I also got a speedo adapter to compensate for the tire size change from Boyce equipment.
I would enjoy seeing your truck in person. You've done something to be proud of !
I did an instrument upgrade and really like the added information it provides. I did not turn up my IP.
I'll be taking the cover in tomorrow for shortening. I should have a few parts showing up today. Two of the corner latches are shot. I found a couple from the normal suppliers and will change those out.
My plan for the tow bar is to mount it on the front of the bed at the corner supports...
