Pretty sure I got (not) scammed by a eBay seller from Japan selling radios

eBay will cover your purchase if it turns out to be not as described or fails to show up. I've had to file a case or two this year and the $ was back in my account without delay. Pestering the seller for tracking data isn't as reliable as going direct to the carrier with the number. Remember...

    Grease question

The military here in the US has used the same brown, long-fiber grease for wheel bearings for at least 70 years. It is not a high-pressure application as long as the preload isn't set to excess. I read the Morris data on their product, and it will be fine in any application in your tactical...

Dot 5 Brake and Clutch Fluid - Hard to find

    That's a fair price for DOT 5.

Thoughts on dino 80w90 vs 75w90 full synth for diffs/TC ?

If it leaks a little bit now, it will leak a lot then. My experience, at least.

    Switch ID request.

60PSI senders were stock on M37, M38, M38A1, M35, M54, and a few others. It all depended on the target oil pressure range of the engine. The same one would be on an M151, the other unit with multiple connections is the pressure switch that turns off the electric fuel pump if the engine stops.

    Windshield question

Rafael, I will send you a good used outer windshield for the shipping $. A good, rust-free Arizona one will save you a lot of work. Please let me know.

    M715 wiring diagram

That vintage diagram lists the horrible turn/stop switch system. Overly complex, parts are fast becoming unicorn status. Most of us convert it to the standard flasher and switch handle found on just about every tactical nowadays.

    Brake lights stay on.

There is a chance the pushrod between the M/C and pedal is set a bit too long, and not releasing a small pressure in the system. That catches a lot of folks. It has to 'wiggle' a bit when released. Also, having the shoes adjusted a bit too tight will cause them to swell up, get tighter, and...

    1952 REO M41

I had a Mack M62 wrecker upgraded to a 543, original engine was the 6602 Gasser. My Kaiser M54A1 was factory with the ENDT-673. So...

    M1078 air brakes

Probably done by a forklift at the surplus yard, moving or loading it.

    Remove surge brakes from

Ball hitches are strictly prohibited here at the radio ranch. Pintle hook and lunette ring only. Even have one for our Tiguan. Really cuts down on friends wanting to borrow trailers.

Lamp #623 is a good sub for the marker/tail/BO position. Same lineup for the front lights as well.

    Wiring help, seeking wisdom

All the original wiring is the same color, black. Each end has a small aluminum tag attached with alpha-numeric designations for purpose. The code is the same for virtually all US 24V tactical vehicles and is listed in many TM's (especially the M37 series) that makes electrical connections...

    Differential Backlash Spec

Does it have the original engine or a repower? Reason being I put a Detroit 3-53 in one and logged almost 250K on it, but it cost me 13 sets of ring/pinion gears. Ate them to razor blades. Lesson learned, they don't like higher torque & HP at faster road speeds. All that was before...

    1952 REO M41

Indeed, that is a rare 5-ton. It was originally designed to run 14.00-20 Non-directional tires on 10" wheels with a different offset. The rear hubs were flipped to put the lugbolt flange out. The 6602 is a great engine, had higher horsepower (234) than any of the later Diesels or multifuels...
