Funny story. A friend that used to run a towing company down here (also into green trucks) had a Int'l rollback with a small Hiab behind the cab. If the truck were just a little bigger it would have been great. As it was, it was an awesome truck. Youl could snatch cars right over the wall and...
OK, before you go out and spend a bunch of money, try this. The drag link is the link that goes from the steering arm to the pitman arm on the steering box. Loosen the 2 clamps on that link. You will have to spread that split a bit but one way or the other you need to turn that and extend it...
Interesting. Are you sure the arm is hitting the housing? Looks like maybe but the drag link is also way out of adjustment. It needs to be extended substantially.
VPed, you bring up a point worth mentioning here. Many of us forget that quite a few folks are still on dial up. I remember the first TM I downloaded on dialup. It was TM 9-2330-238-14&P. Took nearly an hour. The reason I point this out is that opening a TM from the site each time you need...
I have one of these http://www.etrailer.com/Ball-Mounts/MaxxTow/MT70067.html?feed=npn&gclid=CNqwzI-l4sQCFZM9gQodCDEAdw for when I need to adjust for other trailers.
Interesting. If the caps on the 1310 ujoint that you currently have fit this yoke, then it would be a 1330 judging by the tape. Never seen one like that, thanks for the pic.
It's my understanding that the 1310 and 1330 all share the same cap size. The 1330 is wider across the joint. 1330 and 1350 share the same width but the 1350 caps are bigger. I'm interested to see what you find. Would it be possible to post a picture of your yoke? Eager to learn here.
TMs can be intimidating for sure. Personally, I can't memorize or have read the thousands upon thousands of pages of TMs, nor would I expect anyone else to. What I do think should be expected is that the person read or even skim through the -10 operators manual. I understand the TM structure...
I see racks like that more often on the expo trailer builds. Since your trailer has the A2 bed, plywood won't fit between the fenderwells. If this could be an issue, that rack might be the answer. If the rack needs to go, I'm sure it could be sold easily. I'd like to see more of it with the...
Linking is not always practical for those living and working outside of an office environment. I can often guide a person to what they are seeking by simply providing a keyword to search for or list a TM number that contains the exact info. If this isn't an acceptable practice let me know. In...
Interesting question that can now be answered with certainty. My research showed that you can obtain the extra 4" of wheelbase simply by flipping the leaf springs front to back. The problem with this was the overload leaves wouldn't line up with the pads. I considered the frame stretch as well...
Original? Unlikely. Rebuilt? Possibly. Unit assembled? Almost certainly. As far as SN, they are held on with simple rivets.
Oh, the rack? That's an "after military hack job" as you phrased it.
