The first 3 pictures with the nice paint are for the hummer. The bows that are in three's and the last set of seats are for the M880 and I believe they fit the Cucv's also. Each side of the 880 seats need 3 Z brackets to secure them to the truck bed. There is also 6 pieces of angle with...
I think it was the commanders of the units who would do this. I have a 1944 Navy K-38 linesmen trailer and it has a small brass plate screwed on to it that states "this cost $123.00, take care of it" . The cartoon info started as far as I know during WWII , early military training films had Pvt...
There is a tip in one of the older PS mags that says to use 3/8 all thread or 3/8" round stock, threaded 3" at one end, 3'long. Drill holes on top of bumper and double nut it on.
YES THEY DO! Taacom will send out a letter every once and a while and ask if it is still there and in the 7 years we have had a duster they have show up in person twice.
Check all fluids, belts and driveline before you put the batteries on. Then turn on the ass switch listen for the intank fuel pump to kick on and the loud low air alarm. Have you buddy that was standing by the fuel tank to listen for the pump, move forward before you hit the red start button...
Call out there TODAY to get setup to go look at them. They are pretty picky on the days you can inspect. Check out the pictures on the site before you go out there, look close at the under the hood pictures for missing alt, hoses, turbos. Outside for tire wear, spare tire, boarding ladders...
Nice looking truck. My M109 restore work is on hold till spring as it won't fit in my shop. I think the vinyl is better than the cloth military seat covers. The last 2 pictures don't open, but even small, the inside of the box looks good. Is it a gaser? Good luck on the restore.
GSA is the place to buy from, besides no added auction fees the SF97 is included no charge also. However sometimes the S/N and year on the SF97 :beer:are wacked and don't jive with the ones on the truck. That has happened twice to me out of the Heartland GSA, but no big deal I just called the...
I think they are much better than canvass, ie no dry rot and seem to hold up to the uv better. also rodents don't like to make nests in them. If it doesn't have the heat sealed seams coat the inside seams with tent seam sealer.2cents
I quess since you are in Holand that you know of Marco's site? http://www.dodgepowerwagonm880.com . I have the dodge sickness myself! I have a 1939 VF 1 1/2 ton 4X4 I am restoring, (needs lot of parts), 77 M890, 77 M885 and 79 M880. Welcome to the site, Greetz Dave
I was thinking of doing the same, but which would work better? Pulling the rear axle shafts and capping them or removing the drive shaft between the 2nd and 3rd axle. Have any of you out there done either of these?
MC remote reservoir & easy fill
Remote MC fill and reservoir plans, I got this off a fire service Mil truck conversion page. I used junk yard parts and it has worked great makes checking brake fluid a 1 second job as you climb into cab. They also have several well thought 24 to 12V fixes...
It's really a crap shoot, the "does not run" is a CYA for the seller. GSA auctions will do the same. 2 other guys and I bought 3 M109's at Ft Riley in Sept. We got all 3 started with jumps , had to bleed brakes and add fluids to 2. We planed on driving 2 back and were going to trailer the worst...
