Bees, wasps, hornets, etc. are most quiet after dark though it's still a good idea to try to keep from making too much of a ruckus. You can see pretty well with a small flashlight to get a good idea of the opening size and shape. Brake cleaner with the red tube installed in the nozzle works...
You can find the CARC data sheet in the Tech Articles section. Gives all the colors and their NSN and Sherwin-Williams stock numbers as well as the 5 digit FS595b numbers (mixing codes).
I'm shopping for another transfer case and have had several people tell me that the 900 series transfer cases are prone to breaking their cases because the transmissions upshift so hard. I'm also researching a comment about them shifting themselves into neutral upon loss of air pressure. No air...
Bjorn, we always get a little dab of chassis grease in one hand then thread the cable through it, wiping the excess off with our fingers, as we slide it into the housing. It doesn't need a lot as there's no where for it to go and not much in the way of contaminants for it to get mixed up with.

Before going to pick up your new baby, go to the stickys at the top of the deuce section of the forum. There's a good post on what you should bring along, and check out, when the big day comes.
To assure good coolant circulation around the element. Also, so it doesn't lay against the block casting and create a hot spot; or short out if the ceramic coating gets chipped or worn off.
RE: another shot of it
Finding unfaded areas like on the top of the fuel tank, door jambs, inside the hood or cab would be a big help. Then go after them with your FS595b Color Fan Deck.
Good hunnting.
Bjorn, The caps and crosses are final ground together, that's why you don't want to play mix and match. Another thing to consider is that the needles don't roll all the way through a rotation, more like just rock back and forth as the u-joint works so there's an odd wear process in play there...
I guess their thinking is colored by the fact that they're in Oshkosh Truck's backyard and they know what the govt. pays for them. Kinda wish they had a clearer picture of the civilian market.
I equate every BIG purchase in relative (to me) terms and that M911 is over seven times what I paid for...
Lots of air tools like high pressure but even more important is volume. Air tools like impact guns and ratchets are total loss systems so you need a good sized (1/2" or better) hose and a holding tank 'cause the compressor alone won't keep up.
Sorry for the lack of updates guys. When I can escape work I've been stripping excess wiring, running air lines and fuel lines, doing some in-cab tinkering and wasp nest eradicating. Just didn't figure much of that was note-worthy. Will take some photos to share so you don't think I fell out of...
Bjorn, With a skid-plate made from a single 4' X 8' piece of plate; they're ALL front bumper.
As for windshield reflections... with glass that big you can blind an entire company of the bad guys.
Is there no way to screen potential buyers to weed out the uhhh..., the...,
hmmm, words escape me.
I guess he's planning on being able to hide it in a crate of limes.
If you have the time and the inclination, a good idea is to take the springs apart, checking for and smoothing out any "steps" worn into the leaf surfaces where the tip of the next smaller leaf works against it. Then a dab of anti-seize compound at that point will make for a noticably smoother...
Google "bolt shear strength" and you should turn up some handy comparison charts.
Above all; regardless of what grade bolts you use-- KEEP 'EM TIGHT. Hitch bolts are notorious for loosening up during towing operations-- and a loose bolt will cause all kinds of grief as it usually wallows out the...
First, easiest check is steering fluid level; if it's low that may have a lot to do with steering being unresponsive and will often be heralded by a buzz when turning the wheel. Do any hoses or the steering box show signs of leaking? Maybe the message isn't getting to the wheels.
Have a friend...
