    Humvee Thermostat Housing Problem

In the future, use heat and an impact gun for a steel bolt in aluminum.

    Front end rebuild

I've always tried to use Moog. I've used TRW and Delco products with good results. Your truck is older and complete kits are probably not packaged. I go to the local independent parts house and ask them to fix me up. Best of luck to you, a worthwhile endeavor.

M35A2 brakes soft on initial startup

I second the above advice. Look at the -10 manual and perform a major brake adjustment. Check the brake flexible hoses carefully. If cracked or dry rotted , replace them.

    G749 preservation

That really has the cool factor going for it! Glad I'm too old for projects like that. I get enough military vehicle work with the VFD, thank you just the same.

    Hunter camfire malfunction

That is why I try to avoid lending my equipment out.

    R.I.P. - David "MWMULES" Christenberry

That is a nice and well thought out obituary. May God be with his family at this time.

Truck bought for parts, got it running, but…

I wouldn't be too worried about the blow by. After driving it for a time, the rings will get settled in. Blow by should mostly go away after a few hundred miles.

    1966 10 ton M123-A1C....Dirt71

Been a long time since I've seen one of those. I'd forgotten how truly big they are. Very nice find!

    M1097A1 Steering Gear Box

For the price, give it a try. You may have to get an OTC puller if the cheaper one fails

    Newbie Help

Check "vehicles for sale" on this site. Cheap one and an expensive one. I would buy a good runner and drive it home. Believe me , dating the big girls on this site can be expensive. If you are a good mechanic, results may vary. Best of luck to you.

I agree If the seller wants that price, it's up to the seller to show that it runs. A couple of batteries is worth demonstrating runability.

    Winter weather.

A sometimes forgotten cold start for diesels is a hair dryer or heat gun in the air filter housing for 15 minutes or so. Old farm tractors often require it.

    Wise advice worth following.

    torque rod bushings

I think the junky guy is confused When money is short, you use what is cheap or free. However you have to go at it, you do good work according to me

New to me M35A3, suggestions needed

I was curious as to how the truck is working out. With your luck, you should buy a lottery ticket. This does not discount the hard work you have put into it.

    M35A2 on "Diesel Creek" YouTube

I like the guy's videos. He gets old equipment working and saves it from the scrap. I thought he did well on the M35. Just wish he had more information on the truck first.

Geared hub drain plug removal advice

Someone in the recent past has dealt with this, extensively. Might want to do a search of past posts.

    M970 series of unfortunate events

Take a look at Northern Tool. We use 2 of their high pressure pumps on VFD trucks. You could go back with plastic since you are using water in the tanker.
